Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The feeling that ran through him when he grasped the top of the seal's muzzle was intense and joyful, even as dangerous as it was. Solitaire had hit his mark, had distracted the creature, and Frostbite's attack had landed. The movement had halted from the seal, though the awkward feeling of the seal's attempt and failure to throw him off has Solitaire's grip easing a little, debating if he should dart away now or make sure it was done before moving off. That give ended up getting him thrown the next time the seal's head was shaken, and he felt the cut on his face, just above his eye when he landed. It stung then, but it wasn't bad, not at all, considering the risks he had taken.

He scrambled up, but the seal was making some odd noise already, and dying. Solitaire waited, survaying the others for what injuries they had. Frostbite's seemed the worst, but she had made the blow that changed the hunt. Solitaire listened idly to the words being spoken as it had ended, and at the words of hauling it back, Solitaire nodded and took his place to help do so. Once back in the packlands and the seal was set in a spot, Solitaire stepped back and shook his head. The thing had still been heavy, after all. But he caught Tristan's look and grinned over at his brother. Things had worked out very well for the hunting party, and it was nearly time to eat.

But first, the rest of the pack. It was suppost to form more of a bond for them, right? At least that was what Solitaire thought of the ordeal from things he's seen in the past. The first female started the call, and then the next, and Tristan had joined in, so Solitaire let his own vocals ring out for the pack; it felt good to celebrate and know he had done something that mattered for the pack. It felt really good. So the others would come, maybe the lead hunter would give a harangue about pack bonding and feastly things, and then they'd get to eat. It was a well earned thing for those of them that had hunted, so he hoped the others wouldn't take too long showing up.
