Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Before Asteraia, and before his family had come to call themselves pack wolves, they had been but a small quaint family of the woodlands. They had been loners then, and it was even a time before he had known his Zeltzin. Granted he had been born in her own birth place, but they had not found one another until that day in the Grotto. So much time had passed since then, or so it felt like. It even felt like an eternity since he had seen his Mother; had seen any of his family at that. He had yet to tell a soul beside Zelly about the fate of Rhae, but once he found them again he would surely speak up. For now, he roamed aimlessly as much as he searched. Since the loss of Asteraia and the resulting loss of Rhae, he has not felt a particular part of anywhere. Other than when being with Zelly, there is no place that feels like home. The rolling hills of Asteraia had been his home, had been his Kingdom up until the day it had been stripped from him. The day would come when the true King of the Plains would return home, but until then he went where his lithe paws carried him and where his heart guided him.

On this particular day, the both of them brought him to the woodland he had once called home. Perhaps he sought the home he once had, sought that feeling of wellness combined with wholeness. But even when he made his way deep into the forest, his tri colored frame slipping with ease and grace through the trees and among the shadows; the feelings all lacked and it was not right. What was right, however, was the moment his good singular eye spotted what appeared to be a wolf recently deceased with a small ball of fluff nestled in her side. Lucero had enough younger siblings to recognize the sight of a pup, as well as guess her age. For her scent was unmistakable female along side her Mothers, and it is both her youth, vulnerability, and coloring that brings him to approach. She is a soft and gentle cream, almost white, with chocolate markings that remind him of his family. Most of all, however, she reminds him of a Father he has yet to meet. Zeltzin's own and his own one day Father in law. Slowly does he go to her, as to not frighten her, making soft comforting noises in the back of his throat much like his Mother had done with all of her children in times of stress and discomfort.

Lucero is not a wolf so large as his Mother, taking more after Iblis in that manner- but still he does drop to his belly when close enough to touch the girl. He waits quietly to see if she will look at him, and even if she does not he will offer his warm, slender muzzle against her small body in gentle nudging affection. In such position, it would then allow him to gently grasp the pup in his jaws, only to sit up and slide her to his feet in one fluid motion. He hopes she is not too disgruntled, and he aims to then wash her all over with his warm tongue to calm any cries or complaints she may have. But he does not do so before lifting his handsome, young muzzle to the sky and calling for his Zelly. Since she had found him again in the Grotto, and he had told her of Rhae- Lucero knew it was not often she allowed him too far out of her sights. He did not mind, and he never would mind. He adored Zeltzin in a way he knew he would never adore another; not even Greer, who was a part of if not the entire soul that resided in him. But Zelly was his heart, and he knew that now as he had known when they were growing together. She was his everything, as were the children he knew he had put in her belly. His entire body always grew hot at the thought of such things, in both embarrassment and young passionate desire- but he was focused totally on the young one at his paws. Without her Mother she would surely die, and never would he allow death at his paws if he could help it. Lucero was glad then, so very glad for Zeltzin as he awaited her approach, his body bent over as he continued his washing of the small girl. With the mixed nature of his parents, so noble and so kind and caring, as well as Zeltzin's own so courageous and loving and healing, there was nothing that could not overcome together. They would follow in both their parents footsteps; to care, love, and protect others as they were their own. And today it begins with the small brown and creme child at his paws, and the lives that Zeltzin carries with her toward them.
