It seemed the both of us were similar in that way. I want to prove myself, become useful and also show my sister I can be as great as she is. Calliel is leagues ahead of me but I will not let that slow me down. Perhaps I will not learn the exact traditions of my family, but I still know of them and will hold them for myself when I get the position of Stygian. I still uphold the beliefs of my family, they are important to me after all, but it seems most of those who remain here feel as I do, much to my pleasure. Demons and angels, what does it really matter? Fate doesn’t seem to care I have even broken the age boundary to bind with Najira who has been born to a demon female. She was a kind girl, and I enjoyed her games however strange that they might be, I am her protector and a big brother to her now and I am happy to fill such a position. I am still getting to know her, and I am certain this was just more proof I had chosen the correct path.

I do this for her as well now, and my family. No one will get by me without me having a word about it anymore. I still am not sure what I have in terms of fighting skills. I resemble my mother almost completely more light weight and speedy rather than taking on the brute force that my father has, thankfully he didn’t leave me completely lacking though. I know I can use it just as well as my mother does. I think in time I will run circles around my sister and I will see if she can mark my hide again with her fangs. Today was just the one of many steps down the long road that I signed up for. I will catch up for her, she has grown complacent and I will have time to grow and surpass her in due time. I want to defeat her or at least prove to be her equal someday. It will come I know it will and I still have more and more reasons to reach such a rank that are simply other than wanting to be great or greater than her in this case. Najira, proving my worth to my new home and my family as well as making up for the lost time. I had a lot to work on, but I would accomplish my goals.

Perhaps I approach too boldly, but I am eager to see what I can be taught and I am very eager to learn. I pause before her as I ask to be sure she was who I sought. She was thankfully, my tail giving a wave and I give a dip of my head. She holds one of the highest ranks of my new pack and while proud I give respect to those who earned it. He was pleased she had time to teach him and no sooner had she finished speaking did she lunge forward with just a two word warning.

It always seemed to be my face! Why!? Thankfully I wasn’t going to let that happen again and as she lunched for my muzzle I did some ungainly twitch backwards that nearly uprooted myself from the ground. I fight mostly on instinct I have no idea what I am doing or why I am doing it as my body flops and rolls away from the female that is assailing me. I am fast at least, my mostly white form now splattered with mud as I regain my paws only to have her charging at me again this time her shoulder meets my chest then head cracks into my own, knowing there will be bruising in both places once this spar of ours is over. I whip around to retaliate and she’s already on the move again causing me to dance back as best I can feeling her fangs just graze on of my back legs as I move back again.

Using that motion I swing around to ram my shoulder into her side while aiming to grab one of her own black legs at the hock. It’s practice, I really don’t want to harm her just because of that, but my bruised cheek and chest are more than enough testament that she, while not aiming to hurt me badly, has no qualms with actually causing me some bodily harm. I am going to try my best to fight back I rely on what pulses in my blood, I am not sure if that is good or bad but it’s all I have to work with for now.
