Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Meryl
don't look for me cause i'm too far gone...

Spring was the season of life, the season where he put most of his skills to work and a time where he could only gather certain herbs. It was why he left today, but ever since that day over a year ago now he never left without carrying something with him. Meryl had never been born a fighter, his slender frame and long legs were a pure testament that he was nothing but pure speed and grace. But he was resourceful; with his little ace that he had been working and cultivating for years, long before this nightmare started. Meryl figured he could take on any one that were to come against him with it and the thing that had been plaguing him was getting worse as his children were growing older and needing him less, the distraction from the storm in his mind was slowly dissipating as they began to find their own paths.

The day spent with Yuki, furthering her playful imagination seemed so long ago now. Comforting Ame when he followed the other boys of Diveen to Asteraia and got himself into trouble. Now though he was getting better, he had a new friend to occupy a bit more of his time and his mother gave him a sort of job and purpose. Meryl was happy for his son, he was learning from both of them, slowly but surely though he certainly was learning from the both of them and happy doing it as well. It made Meryl happy as a father, but without his children distracting him as they did when they were little he was allowing that fog to return to his mind. That day still replayed in his head, when he was attacked and told who his real family was and the truth of what happened to his gentle hearted mother. His real mother, Fair, he never told anyone her real name yet he knew it and while he tried his best to deny it there was no other way he could have possibly knew her name.

He had killed her. The former Demon Lord Andras was his father, and Meryl did nothing but feel rage and a will to avenge her death. He had killed her and he wanted to kill him. He didn’t know why he was spared that day but he hadn’t forgotten the pain he felt and the agony of both his wounds and knowing the truth of what had happened. It was eating him knowing his mother’s killer was still alive and that it was his father too. That gruesome fate of his mother would not go unchecked, just as any others who did his family, adoptive or not, wrong would all pay in time.

He wasn’t looking for a fight, while he wished to kill his mother’s murderer he wasn’t going to risk what his pack had forged with the Empress of Iromar for it. Instead he hoped he would come to him. After all he had the first time, so each time Meryl went out first herbs he held his little something special close and kept a nose out for the foul smelling male that was his blood father. Ruieze fields just happened to be where he was going, he had collected some aloe, wild cotton out of his own stocks and some poppies simply to substitute some of his own. Ever since that day going out for herbs was an intense chore rather than relaxing as it used to be. He stalked around and waited for the day that finally Fair would be avenged and today the strong odor of death and rot was in the air as well as the scent of Iromar.

He was here.

It was the entire signal Meryl needed to drop the fawn pelt to the ground, and kick a leaf that was thick with an off-white paste to the side. To most herbalists it might have appeared as Aloe that he was smearing on him. He rolled spreading the thick paste over his ruff and back slightly. His fur sat in thick curly clumps, making him look like quite the mess, but it wasn’t about how he looked right now, it was purely vengeance he was after. He had experimented with this poison a fair bit since its rapid growth in Diveen several years ago. Meryl started towards the disgusting scent, his body low and ridged as a board. He knew what he was getting himself into. HI mind pushed away the idea that he might die here trying to do something. He never tried this much poison on a wolf, but it had to be enough. He could feel it tingle on his skin slightly but he would ignore it for now.

It wasn’t hard to see the hulking figure soon after he set off on his march to find him. Hackles raised and head low. The small male was looking more and more like feral beast his lips twitching up in a growl and eyes narrowed upon the male.

”Are you looking for me?” His voice was as it was the last time they had met when he had threatened him, and that side of him was back once more. He was going to keep his word, or die trying. Yin, his children and even Daenerys were in a whole different world in this moment nothing mattered to Meryl but killing the beasty male before him no matter how badly the odds might have been stacked up against him.
