Summer is here and Fall is short around the corner. There is unrest as it stands but, perhaps it is to our advantage. Let no one question our strength. Those who wish to speak on rank, seek me out. If anyone wishes to put a hunt together inform me. Adults or others who wish to rise in rank may seek me out.

The events leading up to this day felt like they were drawn out. Her encounter with Eden had been destined, even though now she cursed his name. The little things within her body belonged to him, and all the pain and discomfort she was going through was all his fault, and damned if she’d let him near her ever again. She may very well be super protective of her pups as well, but only time will tell. She could only hope that she did right by her children, that she would never leave them alone like she was left. Renai knew what it was like to be abandoned, and then life gets worse and you end up a screw up like she was.

The small den was a slight discomfort for her, with her sides large and her body very much so mad at her, she felt every kick, every roll, and it was killing her, to be honest. She was cursing the day that she met Eden. It was all his fault. Her head rested on her red laced legs, and it was then that the first contraction ripped through her body, and involuntarily, she cried out, almost pathetically at that. The pain only got worse from that. The contractions began to build, each one giving her a small, very small window. The panting began then, her once gossamer coat was now sweaty and disgustingly dirty as she rolled around pathetically, switching from her back to opposite side, hoping that it would relieve the pain a little, but no way in hell was it working.

She tried stretching, but in her small, dainty den it was nearly impossible. The puppies were coming, and she couldn’t do anything to stop it. It was hell, but it was only just beginning. The contractions began to drag on, it seemed as if her body was trying to get the first pup out, but it was obvious that something was terribly wrong. As the pup began to make a smidge of an appearance, the pain heightened, higher than she had ever felt in her years before. She yelped, following it with a pathetic whine. Her legs trembled. And she swore she could both feel it, and hear it, her flesh tearing as the first pup made its way into the world. The pain caused her to gasp, holding her breath and trying to fight down the wave of nausea as it hit her straight in the stomach.

Her lower jaw chattered up against her upper jaw as she tried to quell the pain. She moved, very gently at first as she reached out to her little girl, pulling the sac away, then picking her up as gently as she could to move her closer to her, making it a little easier on herself as she cleaned the little white, grey and black girl up. She was so sweet looking, but her size was what shocked Renai. She was quite large, and she knew that was what had happened. Her sweet thing had been much, much too large for Renai’s small frame.

The contractions were still there, but they were barely noticeable. She was still in a very intense pain, but she kept ignoring it, cleaning her firstborn as best she could, nudging her into the soft fur, waiting to see the girl latch on for the first time. She tried to keep her away from her back legs, already feeling the blood behind her grow slightly, she wasn’t about to have her child laying in her mothers blood. No, that was much, much too gruesome. Her back legs felt weak, not to mention disgusting as the blood and fluid from her firstborn’s amniotic sac, mixing with the blood that the internal and external tearing was causing. It didn’t feel like there was much outward damage, but something inside was painfully wrong.

The contractions kicked in again, and they were very light at first, making it a little easier, for a few minutes at least. But then, they grew. And suddenly, Renai was seeing spots before her eyes, black, fading in and out, followed by bright white lights. Her head began to spin, the world tilting on its axis. She gasped, feeling the waves of nausea return with a vengeance. Oh, she was going to kill Eden when she saw him next, that’s for damned sure. The contractions rose in strength as the next pup made its entrance. She moved a little easier this time, cleaning her second child off as she moved her, just as she had her first born.

The second girl, she was a soft white, tan, and russet. It was a soft colored girl, she was much smaller than her sister, and it had made her arrival much much easier than her first child. She could feel the contractions fading away, and it made her think that maybe the two girls were all she would have. And quite frankly, she was very okay with that. With the way this pregnancy and birth went, Renai was pretty sure she was done having babies, unless, you know, she actually gave a crap about the next guy in her life.

But the pain was still there, and she didn’t know what to do about it. And she felt herself giving in, she let out a pained yowl, hoping that there was somebody within the borders of Asteraia that could help her, because quite frankly, the blood that was behind her was scaring the shit out of her. She could feel herself growing weaker with each breath, and she just tried to stay steady because quite frankly, this was an extremely scary situation. But by god, just wait until she saw Eden again, it would not be a pretty sight.

Her front legs trembled as she readjusted, barely, and laid her head down next to the two little girls. They were starkly different from one another, one so much larger than the other. She couldn’t wait until they grew up, to see their personalities. Her mind was much too weak to think of possible names for the two, but she would think long and hard on what both should be called. They needed to have personalities that fit their names, because that was what was right.
