Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

and when you smile...
the whole world stops and stares for awhile..

Kellin knew a little bit about being a wanderer. He had been so for years, after some other ordeals in his past. Bolder for the searching for whatever it was that he had been looking for, but he never did find it. Never did figure out what it could be, but he had done fine without it thus far. Sabriel had wanted to return and bring back the gypsies, and Kellin was fine with that, too. He might not want to immerse himself into a pack here as his brother wished of him, but he would make his choices as he went along. Find what he could of his enstranged family (or so he thought of it, for now, though he harbored no ill will towards any of them), and then.. there was no next step. Everything would come as it may.

He had no real sense of direction for his life, no real purpose, but maybe in time that would come to him. Vaguely he does wonder what his purpose might have been if he had grown up as intended, but most things do not go as planned. There were choices on how to deal with that, and rather than be the poster boy for emo things, Kellin just let it go. He held the looks with the scars and the fringe always half in his eyes, takes to the silence and rather would stick to the shadows away from the masses, but he doesn't have to feel depressed about how his life had turned out. He had known terrible things when he was young, and he was free of all that now. He was happy, in his own way.

He wanders currently over Moladion with a thoughtful expression, remembering the days he thought he would never see this place or any of it's inhabitants again. It felt like such a long time ago, and for years he had held the ability to return, but after seeing mother again with her new family, Kellin just wished them luck and went to find his something. Something never came, but that was alright. He didn't feel all that jipped for what he lacked. He didn't need all that much, and was happy with so little. But every now and then, Kellin did like a fresh conversation. A different face to look into, another point of view. Nothing wrong in wanting that, seeking it out.

The river, as a source of water, was a good place to go to look for someone else. Anyone, really. Everyone needed a drink sometime, and if he waited near the sources of such refreshment, someone was bound to show up sooner or later. Of course when he arrived at the area, he did notice someone was already there, and rather than drinking the water, was bathing within it. Curious, but it was getting warmer and some would be taking advantage of that fact. Kellin pressed closer to the bank of the river nearby where the female was washing, ears perked forward. "Hello there. Would you mind if I joined you for a swim?" A calm inquiry from one who did not often enjoy social things
