News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

fire made flesh; and fire is power
If any of the boys would appreciate Hyrule's claim to personally know Heyel, it was Viserion. All three knew the tales of old, had heard of the legacy that was their bloodline as well as the other bloodlines of old. But Viserion was the one to memorize every fact and commit it to memory. While Heyel's line had the longest unbroken familial reign, Boneclaw's descendants were the oldest remaining family that still ruled. She reigned over the mountains of Solevion for a number of years before Heyel had come into power in the plateaus of Trenus. Still, while Viserion's tail wagged back and forth as Hyrule spoke of his grandfather, the amazement of the fact was lost upon Rhaegal and Drogon. If anything, Rhaegal seemed a bit frustrated at the fact, though it only traced his eyes for a moment. He'd never gotten to meet his grandparents, much less great-grandmother Boneclaw. They lived on only in the legends that their mother and uncle told of them. Deep down, Rhaegal aspired to be as strong as Alcide had been, for Daenerys always spoke of him with such revere.

Drogon's brows furrowed further as Hyrule spoke of girls being boring and that he wouldn't bring his sister. Did that mean that Kalseru wasn't invited either? The thought occurred to Rhaegal as well, but he simply let loose a guffaw at Hyrule's words. "Our sister didn't want to come out into the storm and mess up her hair," he said; despite how much he cared for his sister, it would be cool to have an all boys club. It was the subtlest of tonal changes in his brother's voice that clued Drogon in, so subtle a change that only a brother would recognize it after all the time they had spent together. But it was there, and as the darkest sibling realized his brother was just trying to keep the cool factor with their new found 'friend' he began to tune out of the conversation.

"The views were amazing; from high in the mountains you can see the ocean, but to be right down amongst it is a whole other experience," Viserion chimed in, happy to offer his opinion of the seaside pack. He hadn't been particularly fond of the sand himself, preferring the stable terrain of the mountain, but it was still a very interesting experience. The blonde boy was sure to store away the tidbit of information about the new leader possibly being Hyrule's cousin, for he knew very little about the alphas of both Asteraia and Glorall. After all, at this point his knowledge only went so far as that of his pack. It was this that began to stir ideas of travel in the back of his mind, for he could not forever rely on others to teach him, he would have to go out and learn for himself. Hyrule's ambition towards earning the title of prince was what brought Viserion back to the present.

It was then that the attention of the group shifted to Semele, and Rhaegal noticed the way that Drogon's intense garnet eyes lingered upon the girl. He'd been curious about the way that his brother had been around her at the storytime, but when asked Drogon had answered with plastered ears and a nip to his brother's shoulder. The message was clear: its none of your business. But soon Rhaegal was settled upon the idea of escorting their two friends to a nearby cave; after all not all wolves could withstand the torrent of the mountain like he and his brothers could. As he moved to lead the way and Hyrule and Viserion fell in behind him, one last glance back at Semele saw that Drogon was moving to shield her small form from the vicious wind. The small smile that broke onto her features ensured that Rhaegal store the idea for later use, though Bastille was larger and stronger than Semele's slight form.

Drogon had not done what he did to impress Semele or anyone else. Despite his quite, sometimes brooding nature he was a thoughtful creature when it came to those he enjoyed the company of. And aside from his siblings, Semele was the only other pup to earn such affinity from the child. For a moment he became uncertain of his actions when her green eyes seemed unsure of his closeness, but when the grin blossomed on her face he felt the warmth of pride - and maybe a little timidness - rise within his chest. Her soft thank you was answered with a somewhat gruff undertone of, "You're welcome."

As they neared the cave, Viserion asked Hyrule about Iromar, which caused Semele to glance up at Drogon once more and he immediately felt nervous about her questions. Viserion was the one who knew all the things about everything, he would be better to answer her questions. Drogon wracked his mind, trying to remember what they'd been told about alligators as Rhaegal, Viserion, and Hyrule disappeared down into the cave. Only a few steps behind them, Drogon cleared his throat and replied. "They're a sort of reptile, like a big lizard, I think." He was not entirely certain of his explanation, but hoped that he'd done a good enough job of explaining to Semele before they turned slightly and followed the other three boys into the cavern.

Viserion was raptly listening to Hyrule's description of Iromar, nodding at each detail. Mushrooms? He wondered if they had mushrooms on the mountain, maybe tucked away in one of the more secretive places he'd not yet explored. But once Hyrule stated that he hadn't seen any alligators Rhaegal's attentions wandered as he glanced around the cave. His dark ears flicked, listening to the storm outside rather than the exchanges between Viserion and Hyrule or Drogon and Semele. As the wind whipped one final time his nostrils flared, trying to scent the storm, but then the howling sound seemed to die away. Curious, he stood back up and moved towards the cave's entrance, maneuvering around Drogon even as he offered a small smile back at Semele as she came to sit beside him.

The white fringed head of the blonde boy tilted slightly to the side when he was asked if girls ever jumped on him. A single brow rose in consternation. "Kal jumps on us from time to time, I suppose. And Rhaegal seems to...attract a certain crowd...but no, no physical affronts." Almost purposely he focused on this question rather than the suggestion that he and his brothers help to fight the puppies of Asteraia. Neither alpha had made any motions towards an alliance, but did that mean they had to make enemies out of them? Viserion wasn't so sure. Rhaegal interjected then, staring out into the white wonderland as the storm seemed to lessen with each passing moment. The winds were dying down, just as his brother had predicted. "I think the storm is ending," he mentioned, glancing about at the way the snow was beginning to settle over the landscape now that it was not being whipped about by the wind. But Drogon's ears tipped back in the briefest moment of dismay, because the storm's end would mean escorting Semele home. But his ears pricked forward once more as he gazed down at the pleasant girl; he could have gladly sat with Semele in the cave all afternoon.
