Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Riot prowled slowly through the tall grasses, pondering on the pack just beyond these fields. It wasn't any interest of his to return to that place by any means, because he held no good feelings for Diveen. For him, it had been a place of falsehoods and lies, and he did not like that sort of thing. He did not apprieciate what it had done to his childhood, what it had molded him into. It filled him with a sort of disgust to be so close to it, but first impressions were everything, weren't they? Riot had found that to be another truth here, and it had him debating his ways on gaining information as to which pack to call home. At least there was one that was shaking off the chains of past stigma, and Riot had to approve of that goal.

The sound of a vulture's guffaw gained Riot's attention, and he peered up to see the creature circling around, searching. There was a stench up ahead of death, so that would be the reason for the bird. Soon enough there would be more. He should just pass on by without bothering to look, but his curiousity got the better of him. Or perhaps it was the stirrings in his stomach that made him quite uneasy that urged him to go and look. Riot had fought those feelings near all his life, and he was glad to say that he had never once gone for it; that tended to black-mark a wolf, and Riot was hoping for many more open doors to which he did not see happening if he ate the flesh of his own.

Plus, the one place where he might be welcome was full of crazies and an alpha who just tried too hard and in his eyes, failed. Riot hadn't been impressed by Jaidah any of the times he had spoken to her, and that was enough for him to trun his back on the idea of that place as a home. It would be somewhat hypocritical of him to think of the cannibals as wrong, and he didn't. He simply chose not to have that path for himself, despite the cravings and aches. Thing was, most of them got it in their heads that it was evil by how they were raised or the social morals of this place, and that was the part that in Riot's opinion, started to twist and mess them up. Not the act itself.
