The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Echoes in my Ears

Sun was high in the sky during this cool spring day, the rays of light bringing warmth down to the earth and along the male's back as he moved through the vegetation. A cool breeze rolled through the area, at some points feeling as if it was wrapping and swirling around his body on purpose to bring his limbs to a faint tremble. It was lovely, making the man glad that he was living in such an area, able to experience the different seasons and what they brought. He was comfortable and wouldn't dare wish to be anywhere else, humming in satisfaction.

While on his leisurely walk the man had nearly stumbled over the ledge of what he would soon find was the entrance to a tunnel. Rich copper eyes trailed along the opening in the earth, paws carefully bringing him down the steep hill and stopping once he was before the hole, eyes squinting in an attempt to see what lay ahead. For a few moments he would see nothing but darkness, eyes slowly adjusting to the change of lighting before finally mellowing out and allowing him some insight. What had to be just a few feet ahead was a cave, but from where he stood there wasn't much.

So throwing a look over his shoulders Rameses took a small gulp and padded forward, allowing the darkness to overwhelm his body.
