Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Solitaire was as pleasant as any stranger could be, certainly one who had lived more years alone and wandering than within a pack full of members. If he does not know the full scale of social norms, it could hardly be held against him just yet, right? And he had held curious tones to the question inquired of the younger male, not neutral ones. The mere tone of being curious showed interest, after all. If the pup thought less of him, then Solitaire would take no personal blame for it. He had done as he felt he should; arrive if someone came to Glorall's borders if enough time had passed without any other of the rank going, that it would be rude of him not to take initiative to go and see if he could be of any help. He said to Eden that he would help greet those who came to the borders if it seemed needed, and so it had appeared this time that it was for the moment.

No response had been gotten from the pup, but Eden had arrived, and spoke of knowing the youngster. Solitaire caught the look from Eden, and gave a respectful dip of his head back to the alpha. He was wondering if he should leave the rest up to Eden now, or if it would be rude of him to take his leave so soon. Choices. Yet he stayed for the moment, wanting to be polite and listening to the youngster's words on name and past pack. It was at that point that Solitaire knew he was no longer needed here just now, though he would have to seek out Eden later to talk about task matters. For now, however, he could go and gather more plants and herbs and so forth in case they would be needed later. Frostbite and Tristan's wounds had used up much of the yarrow he'd collected, after all.

He only gave a pause from the younger one's words, glancing to Eden and back. "I'll leave you two to the conversation, as I should gather more healing items before sundown. Nice to meet you, Luk." Were the light words, and with a nod of his head to both, Solitaire started off and away, wondering on the probable new Glorall member. He supposed he'd see the boy later, if that was the case.
