There was an obvious bond between Vesper and Praetor that Aithne had not quite spied before. Those of Iromar seemed to all be of the loner type, not prone to familial relations. The last family reunion she had been to had resulted in Avery almost losing her cool and Lucem almost getting a bite sized piece of flesh ripped from him. It had been intense to say the least and it was awkward for Aithne. She had grown up in a world where siblings were rare because so few survived. If one out of three made it then it was considered a successful birth. Food was scarce and resources limited. The only family she had seen since she had been here, she thinks, was Andras and his and they were not what one might consider 'family.' Family was the way Reian had moved in front of Siren and the way Siren had tried to protect Reian. Family was loyal and she thought faintly that she felt as if Raven and Avery were her family. What did she really know of it though? Nothing.

The sudden change cannot be easy for Vesper. Aithne notes the almost lackluster way she moves for by now realization is sinking in that the only home Vesper has ever had is gone. The marshes were not the most pleasant of places. Aithne loved it here - the rugged beauty and the dangerous mystery. It was nothing like the other packs, nothing like the pretty beach of Glorall. There were none of those weird crabs that Praetor had caught for her nor those mighty beasts called seals. Only alligators and beavers and the wayward mongoose.

Bolstered by the response from her friend Aithne continues to let her tail wag before they begin to move away from the den and weave deeper into the territory. The soil is soft and various forms of fauna grow in different shapes and sizes. Moss creeps across stones and mushrooms poke out near spindly tree trunks. This world held a vast array of species and it kept them well hidden and protected. "I am thankful," she murmurs when Vesper speaks of staying. It is perhaps a bit selfish to say so yet Aithne cannot hide her own happiness at their presence. It is a sad thing to lose ones home but she felt that she offered a great one in return, if Vesper but gave it a chance.

"Ruthless, perhaps, but could it not be said that he would be ruthless if he had killed him? I am not so sure about such things myself or what I might do if I had a contender for Iromar." She answers with a quizzical look on her face, not wishing to upset Vesper but being frank in her own manner. "I hope that he heals well and perhaps in time he can take back his throne if he wishes it."

It is the way Vesper's eyes widen as she looks up in astonishment that makes Aithne pause with a significant grin on her face, almost challenging. It would not be the best time to teach her to hunt alligators and yet if the gray girl mentioned it Aithne would be all too willing. It was a difficult task and she had not eaten a full gator since bringing Kneph many many moons ago. Now he too was gone and Malikye as well. "Yes." She answers simply for a minute to let Vesper sink in the sight of them. "They love to sunbath, not unlike those seals, yes? I often wonder how long they have been around for they look ancient to me, even the young ones, as if they have seen many lives."
