The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

PARAVANA

He seemed...odd. She had never seen someone that seemed so irritated with the world around him. He almost seems to glare at the rain pouring down from the hole in the grotto above. Paravana enjoyed this odd little spot, where moss grew upon rock in the more moist areas of the cavern. Yet, he seemed to dislike the rocks or perhaps he was simply irritated with the rain. She did not mind rain, but did not want to get soaked and then prodded by her father to clean herself, to not track mud around, to not get near his perfect fur.

It was only polite not to stare or attempt to make him even more uncomfortable as they share the coverage from the thunderous rain. She was indeed a princess of Diveen, and father was really strict about ensuring she was proper at times. She knew she wanted to be something more than just a princess though, more than just tied into the fate she was born with. Her brother was training to be an assassin, and she still dabbled with the idea of becoming one herself. Perhaps this would be a bit of a test for her skills, to deal with someone so foreign and different from her in a sudden a new way.

His reaction was odd, and she had determined he was simply a very different and odd wolf. It did not change her demeanor though, and her gold'touched shoulders simply shrugged at the fact that they may never know. Her rainbow eyes fell on him and observed how he kept himself. He was not pristine and keeping his fur in place. She was very much used to the vanity of much of her family, so to see a wolf who did not care for his appearance with a bit different. She was not the best at it herself, but there was obvious effort. She had naturally long and a bit more wild hairs, something her father had attempted to tame and always failed.

He speaks again and of course she listens with her dark ears pressing forward to hear his voice over the clash of thunder orchestrating around them. His words were not something she expected...they were...interesting thoughts. Her rainbow eyes narrow slightly with the darkened black around them like a gentle eyeliner that faded, her mind thinking upon the words as he spoke. She had come from a family of power. Achilles is the future King of Diveen, and her grandparents were ruler. They controlled others but not in such an obvious way. The thought of being an assassin that always tempted her mind was also a form of power. Storms though, they had their own power, their own magic as they roll across the sky. His perception was something she perhaps needed to investigate, carefully, although his questions were not something she was used to being asked, and she shifts her weight as her mind attempt to think of the true answer within.

"I suppose, I have not really thought about it. I think it has been implied that I am," she states, considering her birth and lineage, and how the whole structure of the system she lives in works. Only the family line can rule, and...they of her blood must be above the rest in order for that to rein true. She gives a slow nod. "Yes, I can see that," she says simply with her light voice echoed with the touch of thunder, keeping her rainbow eyes fixated on him as he looks upon her with such a...strange look.
