He was not quite sure what to say to her, in regards to him not seeing his family. As he lay in the den, he looks at his star-touched paws, a guilt coming over him as he remember seeing the star-crown of his mother glittering above him as a pup. She was a very caring mother, and it was her that he felt most guilty over not seeing. He frowned slightly, knowing he shouldn't let father's ways get in the way of visiting.

"Oh, no...it is not that, I just...It was nice meeting you, and I suppose I used it as an excuse not to go back. I have not been back to Diveen in years. My father is just...insufferable. I should have gone for my mother though," he said with a sigh, feeling to weight on his shoulders as he lowers his head a bit. The weight of knowing that it just gets more uncomfortable and awkward to longer he waits to go see them. Moon after moon after moon he waits, letting it linger on his mind, and yet he never goes back...he was glad he went back last time though, as he got to meet the girl whose den his shares at this moment. A friend, perhaps, when it is so hard to make them.

His eyes do take a look at the furs all around, interested to see what others do in different dens. He did take after his family, and although they are not the best, he has lined his den with feathers as a soft bedding, with the occasional prick of the quills. Furs, they seemed not too bad as well. He looks to her, a little surprised about her apologetic she seemed in her face. He looked around nervously, wondering if he did something wrong. He licked his nose, unsure of what to do or if he was going to do anything wrong. He had never visited another den before, and was unsure of what etiquette there may be. She then speaks of the spot her mother had chosen for her, and it was a really nice spot. He had not seen a tree like the one the den was with, but he knew even less about it seeing as it is winter and not green. He gave a smile, and nodded in agreement.

"If you don't mind, I think I will come. Oh, I will ask your alpha to visit first this time," he said with a wink. "And no thanks, that is for you. I will be okay," he says, not going into detail of how he felt that she needed to be the only one who ate the bird. He looked back at the pelts as she explained, how she would feel...less alone. His eyes faded a bit, knowing that exact feeling. She seemed really nice though, why would she be so...lonely? He shook his head at her question. He had seen a lot weirder things in his time in the vivid dream worlds, lucid worlds where things seemed as real as this world and yet, things did not act the same at all.

"No, that is not weird. Ya know, you could also add in some feathers from doves, ducks, geese. Just rip the feathers right out. They are really warm, too, although, a bit trickier to catch. I can...bring some for you sometime?" he asks, a shy but charming smile crossing his lips with his offer. He had always grown up with bird feathers around, and he always found it comforting. Why not bring that comfort to someone else? And he could certainly line his own den with a few furs to see how that goes.
