The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Stormy Horizon
____________________________________

Slender beige appendages move daintily across the soft grains of the earth. Vague scents filled this lead hued queen's nostrils. Estranged memories tickling at the back of her mind. Ghosts lurked in this darkened forest, hiding behind trees and playing amongst the leaves. The quiet vixen moved forward bravely, pushing past the haunted hallows amongst which she walked, steel toned hairs brushing the rough trunks of trees absentmindedly. Stormy was not a stranger to these lands, she owned them, she grew up in them. This young fatale was a queen of her own right. A ruler of whatever she desired.

However, this silent lass may be a ruler, but she was a broken one. Fractured feelings, abandonment, loss. The scars lined this slender bird's heart like rivets in the earth. Her frame was broken, spirit, shattered. And yet this regal beast walked with her head lifted mightily, hiding away the tumultuous feelings wracking havoc upon the young creature. Ferocious anxiety ate away at the slender young fatale, causing tall ears to flicker and her tail to lash back and forth as she paced amongst this soft, quiet forest floor. Where ought this orphaned adult supposed to go? Stormy had left Spring Grounds many moons ago, her broken heart and fractured spirit splitting her into so many pieces the young lass dared not even attempt a facade at normalcy.

So she ran. The previous monarch abandon all which she held dear to her to her tender, beating heart and bolted into oblivion. Leaving the safety of blossom. The net of protection with which it surrounded all those whom bothered stay. Hurtling herself into a world of chaos and anarchy. The marionette lived isolated, attempting feebly to piece together her shattered being.

And here the slender beast stood. Four paws planted firmly, yet anxiously upon the soil she had abandoned so quickly years before. She had grown. Progressed. Stormy was whole once more. Perhaps not, however the sylph had stacked broken part amongst broken part until once again she had begun to -at least outwardly- appear as a wolf ought. Now she needed people. She needed support. She needed a job to preoccupy her ever racing, ever threatening mind. And so this young lass moved toward Andre Seite.

The rumors had spread quickly amongst the whispers of the forest, how a wolfess had attempted to steal Quirno's land away from him. And how that regal beast left that wretched assassin with a reminder that the girl would never forget. Her face marred, one eye simply destroyed. Those who murmured amongst the greenery spoke of her hideousness. How she would not ever belong to a place again. Children would scream and adults would shy away from the vixen. Avoiding eye contact, skirting around her.

That was where she wanted to be, amongst the protection of a beast like that. Amongst a king whom could perhaps appreciate her former experience. Quirno's kingdom is where this brave creature wanted to belong. And so, that is whos border she sat upon, lyrics humming out softly, calling out, patiently. Come find me,

I'm worth it.
