The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Her children were growing up so fast, it was hard to contain the fear that ran through her blood. She didn’t want them to leave her, what would she do if the left her?! But the worry was something that was real, and getting more so every day. There were times when Oliza left, and came back smelling like him, and that would send her into night terrors, reliving the awful experience all over again, and she hated it. She moved along the waters edge today, wondering what she was about to do in her life, but she knew nothing. Knew no one. Except her children, and well, Reich. She had met him once and gone with him to his home, only for the whole pack to leave when the alpha was challenged and lost. Then, she had become homeless with her pups, and well, now she was still all alone.

The sun bore down on her mottled back, the darker hairs causing the heat to seep into her skin, making her itch. She only hoped that soon she would find some shade. She stopped before reaching the grotto, dropping her nose to the water to get a long drink of the cool liquid. She lifted her head and shook it slightly, watching the waterdrops fall back into the water below her head. She turned away from the water, cutting through the trees to head to wards the side of the grotto. She hadn’t come because of the call, that had come long before she had begun walking this way. She only knew that there was shade within the grotto, and she was a bit desperate right now.

She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the large group that was gathered there, her split eyes widening with a small dose of panic.
