Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

DON'T STOP
NEVER GIVE UP
HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH AND REACH THE TOP

The time had come and gone for me to be afraid of the stupid things in life. I was fed up with being afraid, quite honestly. I was over it and I was determined not to look back at it all. I needed to move on in my life and that meant that I wouldn’t be changing my mind anytime soon. I was tired of everyone thinking because of my appearance that I had my head in the clouds when really, I had seen more than may fair share of pain, and I wasn’t some prissy little angel. I was dead tired of that stupid clique.

But then again, it was better to be thought of as a good girl than to be the demented ones that everyone ran from. I hadn’t met anyone like that, at least that I knew of. Because to me, they were all the same. They were all like the black beast who had killed my sister. So in a way, it was a good thing that I didn’t know what it was about the color red that caused this male to be so interested in it. If I knew what he was truly like, I probably would have left long ago.

The world flew by around us. A rouge trout did a strange hop, flopping into the air before splashing back down and swimming away as fast as possible. Something in the water had spooked it, and my galaxy-like eyes were drawn into the water, not really noticing anything strange in the water. I shook my head before I turned my eyes back to the male before me. He was strange, yes, but to me, he was just another wolf. There was nothing that stood out, not demonic, angelic, or plain crazy. But then again, I had just met him.

His words reached me, and my eyes narrowed as I allowed my mind to process the words. It was strange, what he had said. “Well, I guess that makes me lucky then, right?
