Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

We laughed at fate and mourned her;

It does not do him well to attempt to use brutish antics against her. She does not back down. She does not give way. She hadn’t before and she wouldn’t do now. Snapping at him only seemed to increase his agitation and when one was too high strung accidents happened. While he barred his teeth and lunged at her she did not flinch. Rather she moves forward her low snarl following his horrific canine cry. As he begins to settle she follows his action by lying herself down. It did not bother her to be alone with him in such tight spaces. The two were unable to truly harm one another in such a way that one would lose their mortality. It was not dominance over him she sought. Rather she desired something far much more. Equality. No one was above her, but many were below her. Never before did she see someone at her eye level that was similar to her and it was like a breath of fresh air to be among a male that did not back down each time she pushed. Cold sapphires borrowed into those sickly emerald pools that stared back within the darkness. Her ivories remained barred as she laid their quietly watching him carefully looking for any signs he would attempt to attack her again. As she slapped him with her claws she did not expect him to simply take it without any form of retribution. As he remains lying on the ground in such an innocent state she is puzzled to this. Why he would show himself in such a vulnerable way, almost as if he were comfortable, and yet she assumed he saw her as a non-threatening creature. This thought caused the mauled girl to feel furious that this assumption could be true. Obsidian fur would rise high along her hackles, her entire form appearing much larger than it was as she remained in an irritated state.

The very idea that he desired to consume her when she was dead led to the conclusion that he wished her dead. That her existence was not needed. All her life she was used to being unwanted and told she had no purpose. Learning that her existence was not desired nor wanted ultimately led the girl to truly believe that she did not need others approval in the matter. All she had was herself and self-preservation soothed her aching soul that her existence was necessary. There was not a creature on this godforsaken earth that believed her presence was essential, but there were many, many others that believed she ought to be terminated for the sake of their kind. Being a legend came with its hardships. In other lands she was feared, her name known by all and barely spoken – many believing it was taboo. Legends ring with truth. Here she was unknown, no one here knew of her bloody ledger, no one here even knew her name and with this in mind she would forever be unknown by all. Being a legend has its hardships and here she could live freely without thinking of her reputation. Teeth remained bared as a low growl rumbled within her chest in disapproval questioning him, ignoring his hissing, the she-wolf believing she had the right to know. Yet his response to her retort was actually a fair statement, touché. Indeed the moment of birth everyone’s clock was slowly ticking away. Their heart was nothing more than a ticking time bomb, those fast ticks seemed to last forever, until Death held an icy grip around their heart and the last few ticks of their heart would go before it would be still for all eternity. There was a reason why her name was ‘Tick Tock’ the subtle reminder that all who dwelled on this Earth had something similar to them – their death was imminent, and she, being the faithful harbinger of Death was willing to remind all of their morality.

Tick Tock is quiet for a moment. Those cold azure eyes of hers remained locked on those reptilian pools for a moment as she allowed the silence to swirl around them. There was nothing she could say. Yet that did not mean she was not allowed to be offended by such words. Wordlessly she nodded her head in agreement. Though she is once again perplexed as to his stuttering fixating on one particular word that causes her to question him again. As he sneers at her she remains where she is as he slowly drags himself to his paws. She is the perfectly roadblock and she does not move an inch. Though when he speaks his answer she grows eerily still. That he does not hate her seems to have an overwhelming effect on her. It would seem he had spoken the magical word and she quietly rose to her paws side stepping to allow him to exit. She would move herself towards the depth of the cave allowing him room to leave, but she would turn around and follow him out until she stood at the mouth of the cave. There she would simply stand and watch him quietly. That he did not hate her seemed almost impossible to believe. She was so used to being hated. Not once had she felt from another that didn’t hold some sort of malice or fear. Chael, her first weaken imprint, was constantly afraid of her and it sickened her to know end she was chained to him – deep down he hated her, she could feel it through their bond. She was not a good piece to his soul. Yet with Tobias she did not feel malevolence within their bond. The cursed monster was torn up inside just as she was outside and to hear that she was not hated was…meaningful.

“Don’t…”

This word was softly spoken the tone mixed with uncertainty and surprise. Hardly did she speak softly in such a way. Unsure if he had heard her she took a tentative step forward towards his own. The bond between them remained strong, but because he was moving away from her she felt the familiar sting of the cold returning the she-wolf to what she knew – loneliness. No matter the wolf it was basic instincts to be near others, the drive to be close to others was a hard thing to ignore. That desire was never met for her. There was no one she truly wanted to be around or even close to, not even her own flesh and blood, because she was tainted with Chaels’ weakness. Her imprint not hating her held such significance. Especially for one that was always left behind, forgotten, unwanted, ostracized, seen as nothing more than a creature that was always meant to wander the world alone. There was no wine for she was not the kind to beg or plead. Rather she hold herself up high, her tail lowered behind her as she spoke again, only this time it held a slight uncertain and unfamiliar pain, mixed in lightly with uncertainty as it fell from her bloodstained lips.

“Don’t go…”

Even though she barely knew her imprint his presence was always soothing and to know that he did not hate her was…rare and pleasing. It would seem her very cold and apathetic soul was given a warm breath in attempts to stir it awake. Yet as she watched him continue to walk away there was a soft sigh escaping her as that familiar pain began to drive itself into her that familiar pain of his absence, a feeling she is sure he too can feel. Both cursed creatures had managed to be bound together and yet neither one realized just how much one needed the other.
