News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

They move in sync together, thinking hard with each step and Aithne moves slightly to the left so that they will curve inward until they arrive at her den. It is there that she deposits her meal, tossing it down into the cool interior so that it will be ready for her to munch on later. Now she turns back to Iscariot with a look of contemplation before jerking her head to the side to indicate that they should walk deeper into Iromar. This would be a lengthy talk and hopefully, at the end of it, Iscariot would decide a fit that was right for him. So she begins, first, with listing the ranks once more but with more detail. "First I will tell you that although I already have some of my ranks filled that there is the option to challenge for them. A challenge will be decided by me depending on the rank that both you and the current holder must complete and then I and likely my Regent of Commandant will all confer and judge over to award the position. The only ranks I do not allow to be challenged for at my High Council ranks, those two I listed above as well as Consul. Those ranks are for my most trusted advisors and they have both earned their place there as well as my trust."

Now she pauses for a second as she regroups together before beginning to explain the ranks, coming to a waterway where a few smaller alligators perch on the banks while some float in the water, ancient eyes blinking slowly. She stops on a small knoll and presses her hips down; he would get a good sight of Iromar from here while also hearing about it. "The Auspex is one who speaks to me of advice on situations going on in Molodian as a whole. They will be tasked with trying to keep me up to date on things and also eventual outcomes of whatever current news is going on. Such as Eden and Glorall: I would need to know if he might possibly be a threat one day. This is a position of diplomatic endeavors as well and I will count on them, along with my Consul, to help maintain relations with other packs as well as coordinate events. Now the Stygian, that is a rank for one who must be stealthy. They will be the one that I turn to if I ever need things dealt with quietly - an assassin of such. Also an executioner. I hope to not ever utilize them in such a manner but if death is a punishment that I decree from a traitor then it will be their job to complete it. It requires complete trust in my word and dictates. They are also given missions within the pack if I do not feel that someone here is being truthful. They will then be sent as a scout to follow said wolf to make sure they are not plotting something. It is more of a domestic position."

"The Vigilax is one who, like you, can pick up on things that go on outside of the pack in a more secret setting. They are not like the Auspex who simply tells me what is going on and then their ideas, they must have actually heard such sensitive things themselves or find another with information. It is, in effect, a spy but not of the domestic sort, of a more widespread kind that involves the whole of Molodian. If I ever had need of it they will be used to neutralize a threat by spreading false information. It is most effective to counter an attack before it is given, don't you think? They can also help protect the pack against any who wish to steal one of my members. The Raptor is my thief, in a sense. He or she is the one who decides if a wolf is worthy of stealing and will bring them to Iromar to be held here for a small amount of time while I try to convert them. This can also be useful if there is a threat I wish to keep an eye on, but it is my hopes that I will not have to utilize it as such. They, too, are tasked with making sure the wolves of Iromar do not, in turn, get stolen away."

"The Cerberus. This is my head fighter. They will train those who wish to learn the skills of a warrior as well as patrol the border and make sure that no one enters who should not without permission. If one slips by then they are responsible for removing the wolf from Iromar lands. The Minos is one who will work with my new wolves to help figure out what is the best fit for them and if the skills they possess fit them in such a rank. I prefer to let wolves make their own choices yet sometimes those choices do not coincide with their talents. My minos will work with them as well as whoever else they are assigned to train under to see if they improve or if they are worthy of the rank they desire, and they will come to me with a report. Once I have a minos they will be given lots of tasks to train for those wishing to rise. They are also tasked with bringing in new blood to Iromar and with knowing all of the wolves here, even if from afar. It is a position for the multi-talented. Now my Sawbones and HellHound are almost self explanatory but they are important figures: my Sawbone will be one who is the head healer, who has proven themselves proficient in all medicines, both healing and poison alike. My HellHound is responsible for making sure the pack does not go hungry.

"Each of these ranks will train those beneath them who wish to learn such skill. As I gain more and more I may add more ranks and if, for some reason, there is a rank that you do not think suits you but one that is more tailored to your talents then I ask that you give me a description and I will decide whether it is separate enough to create it's own title. I do not wish to box everyone in but I must be sure that it is not one of the above." Now she glances at him, waiting to see how he would react to all this. "Does this better explain things to you?"

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.
Diplomats- Extroverts of Iromar. Skilled in politics and overall conversation.
Spies- Scouts and thieves of Iromar. Skilled in blending in and masking themselves when called upon.
Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
