News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

This was his home, and he felt little need to try to sneak upon this intruder. So Drogon moved quickly rather than trying to be quiet, and when the other wolf heard him coming at least she had the good sense to stop and wait. As he moved to stand before her, blocking any further forward movement into the pack lands, he took note of the posture she had adopted. Severe garnet eyes glared down a coal black snout at her, the fur along his ruff standing up in challenge to the way hers had. Though there was still a youthful awkwardness to his proportions, immense paws were placed wide to brace his position as he stood tall before this interloper. She did not back down from her own confident presence, but at least she did not start blathering on like that girl Yuki had or bragging about why she was there as Hyrule did.

Eyes of light blue stared back at him as they stood in close proximity, Drogon's only concern was making sure she made it no further than the foothills of the pack without telling him why she was here and who she was. Dusk had drawn shadows across the land, and he would not allow some girl to simply traipse through the mountains without permission. Even if she was a member of an allied pack that didn't give her the right to walk around Spirane like it was her home. It wasn't as if he would come to her pack and just go wherever he pleased without consulting at least one pack wolf beforehand. Even though he was displeased with her presence, he managed to at least try to withhold judgment until he got her side of the story. That had been the lesson Daenerys had tried to impress upon them after the business with that Iscariot fool, hadn't it? So he asked her name, and the way her nose wrinkled at the question as she stared down Drogon only earned a hardened, narrowed gaze from him.

She might have been unwilling to back down, but she did at least give him an answer. Belhara was her name, and it seemed as though she was going to turn the question around on him until something distracted her. The exclamation that erupted from her mouth instead made Drogon's nose wrinkle in much the same way as hers had only moments before. At first he thought maybe she was trying some foolhardy trick to distract him so she could slip past and run off into the mountain. Her slighter form would afford her a fleetness of foot that he did not possess, as he would someday learn that he was built more for running long distances. Rhaegal's tricks and Viserion's quick thinking had taught him much, though, and he was not fooled. His dark garnet eyes remained trained precisely upon her, brows furrowing with distaste at this feeble attempt to con him.

However, her face truly seemed to hold an element of awe. The questions that she berated him with brought with them the realization that she was not trying to trick him, but that she really was bewildered by something here in the foothills. The stars? He had seen them from on high within the mountains but what in the world was she talking about now? His patience was growing thin. Drogon's mercurial tendencies had been tempered as of late, due to his friendship with Semele, but in the presence of an intruder they seemed to flare up once more. He stared back at her, flatly and without amusement until the flash of a firefly illuminated his periphery vision. Blinking at Belhara, his brows rose to pinch together higher than when he looked at someone in disapproval - now appearing more baffled by her fascination with the bugs as she lifted a paw and watched as one flit between them.

Demanding blue eyes locked upon those of garnet once more, and clearly she wished to have an answer given to her promptly about these 'stars' that were slowly beginning to become more and more populous in the lowlands. Drogon had seen them before, on occasion higher up in the mountains. But he'd never seen them in this magnitude, as their blips of light appeared and disappeared within the grasslands that spread out behind Belhara. "They are fireflies," he says, simply and very matter of fact. They are only bugs, after all, not stars that drift through the grasses. Stars lived only in the skies. Watching her for a moment longer, he blinks again, still slightly unhappy with her presence and thinking that maybe there should always be two wolves running the borders to prevent this from happening over and over again. "Why are you here?" The midnight hued adolescent wishes only to get to the point, to discover her reasoning for being here so that when he made her leave he had a reason to. But, as always, his mother's voice cropped up in the back of his mind and he forced himself to at least attempt to be cordial. She had meant to ask his name, he was certain, and she'd at least given him hers. What harm could it do to share his own? "I am Drogon." It was short and perhaps rather blunt, but he wasn't here to make friends with a trespassing girl...was he?
