Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

and when you smile...
the whole world stops and stares for awhile..

Yes, he understood the quiet from Sabriel, and knew it meant that the older male was thinking hard about something. Perhaps it was the gypsies again, for that had the biggest hold on Sabriel's mind of late. Or it could be Micteca, whom Sabriel had talked about on their travels. Kellin had not quite understood how Sabriel could just go when there was someone waiting for him. Kellin knew how much Sabriel felt for the female spoken about so often, yet how could Sabriel feel that much, care that much and just go? That was something that Kellin could not fathom. Yes, it made sense when Sabriel had gone to save him from the vagabonds, but after he was safe...

Yet Kellin had still gone with Sabriel when the older male left Moladion. He felt compelled to follow his brother, to be there for him while he wandered. And Kellin hadn't felt right about sticking around with his mother when she had made a new family for herself. Kellin hadn't wanted to intrude on that, and those siblings had been so young, too. It wouldn't have been right to stay, so he had gone. Supported his older brother's need to wander, even if it did not make enough sense to him. Not when there was someone there who had loved Sabriel in return, wanted to have a home with him and all else. But Kellin had given up trying to understand Sabriel long ago.

The response to what he had said -- not the familt thing, that only gained a nod and Kellin understands why -- but about the girl. Sabriel was saying stuff about a soulmate or half a soul. Imprint. And Sabriel had one too. This had Kellin blinking, unsure just what to say in response to something so strange as all that. Then Sabriel was telling him that he could see color. Wide eyes were turned to his brother. His formerly colorblind brother. His maw parted, trying to find the words for that. "Really? How is that possible? Just because of the soul thing? Because my eyes stayed as they've always been, I just feel a lot differently now.." He pointed out with a roll of his shoulders.
