Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Though she had not known the stranger, the stranger had a certain way of... well, making her feel a little better about things. She just seemed so happy and carefree, even though she had come to a strange pack and was meeting strange new faces. It made Cercei think back on how she had been such a way before - not long ago, really: she had been so eager to be out and about constantly, encountering new faces and learning new things. Why had she let that change? Cersei's own smile had been rather weak at first but the more time she spent under the light of Sway's, the more she felt her own features relax into something more earnest. Cersei had been inhibited for far too long, she had decided.

She let Tristan take the lead, flashing him an almost sheepish grin as he glanced to her. Though she had come, she had little idea on how to go about the woman's question. It did sound good to have the connection with Spirane once more, though she had to wonder just how... realistic that was. Her father had always had a certain fondness for the mountain's leader, and she wondered if that would impact the way Eden saw her. She supposed the best she could do would be to answer honestly, and to hope that things went well. If they were allied to Spirane once more, perhaps she would be able to see her siblings with much more ease. Surely, the mountain queen could work that out. Right? The thought ensured her smile stayed consistent, and she nodded quietly at Tristan's words before she moved to chime in with her own.

"Tristan is right. Our leader here wants to make us connected through something other than just blood or names."

She paused, shifting her weight a little nervously as she glanced back into the pack lands with a flick of her ear. It wasn't so much that she felt bad saying what she was about to say, but she'd probably feel better not having Eden hear her. She wasn't quite sure how he'd take it - she just had to hope Tristan took it well enough.

"But I know he can be ruthless, too. He fought my father for these lands. I saw him afterwards - it was... frightening, to say the least. For me, at least. I think he knows what he wants - but, I think he won't stop at anything until he gets it. It can be... a little intimidating, I think."

She had practically shivered at the memory of how maimed her father had been - or at least, how much blood covered he and the earth he had fought upon. She had done her best to forget about it all, but it still haunted her from time to time. Whenever she saw their leader, she remembered it and she felt it did her best to do so. A healthy fear never hurt, right?
