I have been very vigilant of Asteraia's borders while Jaidah is away. So far it's kind of entertaining to see what shows up. I think I did quite well giving that pretty little white wolf from the mountains some information about the kinds of creatures that seek shelter here. She didn't seem too happy about it but then I don't think I really wanted her to be. Everyone in Moladian should fear the beasts of Asteraia and especially the place where they all decide to come and group together. We still need numbers to really be a threat but we've got the quality, that's for sure. Now if only Jaidah would get her pretty little ass back here so we can do some recruiting. I can still smell the wolves coming to the borders but they seem more hesitant to stay when there's only a faint scent of an alpha in the area. I've even started marking some of the trees myself to coax them in closer. I may not be alpha but I'm as close as it gets for now, it would seem.
When I see the small family headed our way, I move to a higher perch, my hackles already raised and my tail already arched over my spine as I get a closer look, nostrils flaring as I try to take in their scents. Diveen, hm? How....interesting. I know of the battle between an outsider and the alphas there. It seems he was beaten and the outsider has taken over. I guess some wolves have decided to leave but to have someone from that pack see shelter here...it's interesting. I thought those wolves were all happy go lucky and peace happy and all that crap. So what would make them come here? An invasion or something else? I would think they wouldn't bring their children to fight their way in and the female...she smells of sickness, something not quite right about the way she holds herself. I can tell she is a beautiful creature, full of grace but she seems...weaker. Her posture is all off and then she collapses, the children suckling greedily at her as the wolf with her moves away to look over the land. He seems thoughtful, perhaps contemplating what to do next or if anyone's even going to come to see them.
Deciding to make my move, I lower my tail only slightly as I lope toward them, slowing down as I get closer, my ice blue gaze cutting into them like daggers as I tilt my head and give them an impassive expression. "Well, what brings you to Asteraia's borders, Diveen stragglers? Not coming to offer a quick meal, are we?" My gaze sweeps over the children, hunger belying my true nature before I recover my smooth glass like look and turn back to the two adults before me. They should know that they come to the land of monsters, not those with honor. I will not move on the children if they wish for them to live but they might as well know the dangers that living here brings. Of course, if they are worth my time and decide to call this place home then they will be protected. But first I have to make sure they're not trying to smuggle in any of that sick angel goodness crap.
