These last several days had been rather amusing for the Pirate Queen who had come a long way from the fall of her notorious band of thieves to these islands and all their wonder. She had chanced to cross a large brute whom she claimed prisoner and offering to the sisters of the Peak, and along with him a little black chestnut named Taytim who was also heavy with child. It was a three-at-once deal and the desert born daughter was happy to take full advantage of the situation. She had yet to see what the sisters had to say of her joining their little band. In the meantime, she occupied her time keeping the hellion Rodrigo and his companion Taytim separated. The brute had insisted, even tried to sneak off to see to the pregnant mare. Ysabellanazeka of the Mount of the 1087 Thieves was firm to stop him.
"You're not needed lover boy…believe me. A woman is born to handle child-bearing I assure you." Rodrigo remained the perfect gentleman, much to her disappointment and he seemed worried and down as the days went on that he could not yet see Taytim. The smoky bay galleon had promised the petite minx protection and he felt helpless that he could not be with her at what must be such a strange time for her. Ysabella on the other hoof saw things in a different light. Taytim was petite and young and perhaps ignorant in the Pirate Queen's opinion. Just the same, all mothers came to know their new role when a child was brought forth into the world. It was strange to be firm in teaching as a mother would, though Ysabel herself was not a mother. That in itself was a whole other story. And while the sooty buckskin was constantly holding the large knight at bay, she would sneak off at night to the place she knew the mare had wandered, and she would spy on mother and child from a distance. She smiled alone in the moonlight and shadows where none could see, in secret so none would know that she perhaps did have a heart to her.
Today Rodrigo was as anxious as ever to seek out Taytim. And he was quite fed up with the gold and black mare's attempts to sway him otherwise. Ysabel saw this and was perhaps a bit more laxed today as she tilted her head and sighed.
"I know you are missing your little lover my good sir, but a mother needs time with her new daughter."
Rodrigo froze and lowered his head to look the minx directly in the eyes. Daughter? You've seen the child? She has a daughter…" Rodrigo spoke the last part with a dreamy smile on his face.
Ysabel caught the expression and mischief filled her face. "Are you certain you are not the sire?" The Pirate Queen burst laughing seeing his shock at the question and the bashful disposition in which he denied the statement. Rodrigo had requested to sleep on the lower rises of the peak where he might be able to see the land easily, and her Ysabel also kept him company most of the time. The brute's attentions were fixed on Ysabel when a familiar voice could be heard. He turned curiously while Ysabel only smirked. "Well now…looks like we won't have to wait a day longer to meet the little princess." Rodrigo went without hesitation down to meet Taytim and her child. Ysabel motioned behind with a sigh. Looked like the crew would be one big happy family again she thought sarcastically.
Miss Taytim! There was no hiding the joy and relief in his voice as he came trotting over. He stopped a distance away as he had with Zaida so not to scare the child away with his titanic form. The hellion was running and now his breathing was somewhat sparsed. "Hello there." Spoke the stallion softly to the pretty filly beside the her young mother. Ysabel came up behind and moved right on up to mother and daughter, and she nipped playfully at Taytim's ear…a nonverbal sign she was happy to see the small lady. "About time you showed up. I was about ready to tell Rodrigo here that you had abandoned him." She spoke in jest and after saying this lowered her crown, snaking her serpentine around to have a look at the small filly. "And who might this be Taytim?"
