I note the wolf's tense form the moment I approach, as if expecting to be set on like a rabbit. My, isn't someone touchy? My eyes glisten like a predator, picking up on his paranoia and feeding off of it like a wraith. I do so love toys that fear for their lives, how fun. I watch him intensely as I speak to Halina and I curl my lips in an amused grin when his jaw tightens and his ears flattened, clearly irritated by the words. Before he can move to renounce my words though, I move in close, putting myself almost nose to nose with him. My grin only grows as I see his chest expand with air but he doesn't release it. Maybe not wanting me to smell his breath?
He seems to contemplate over my questions first, almost seeming worried about what to say which only makes a brow rise in curiosity before he jumps to explaining his reasons behind fish. My tail flicks, ears pricking to make sure he has more to say. He introduces himself as Mabbit, a funny name to be sure. He says he's been an assassin and a spy, both of which Abendrot is known but he can't specialize in both, not unless he doesn't plan to go very far in ranks. I turn my attention to Halina first, listening to her speak. Her spirit amuses me. She chuckles, a deeper sound than I'm used to from a female but the look she gives Mabbit is not missed. I lick my chops as I follow her thoughts. Then she gets ready to excuse herself, her stomach rumbling. I chuckle. "It seems you do need something more...filling. I'm sure you'll find something to take care of that." The words purr from my throat as I turn back to the male to hear his explanation before one ear flicks back toward Halina.
I can't help but smirk as she taunts the male, making his name a joke as she scolds him on bringing up old tales. She does speak the truth. I'm about to turn back to Mabbit when another familiar scent reaches my nose and my ears prick forward in curiosity, tail flicking again as none other than the queen herself steps from the trees. I turn my intense green and blue gaze on her, my features suddenly expressionless. It wouldn't really do to look displeased to see her and I can't really say I dislike her anyway. I just...can't read her yet. She sits and dips her head and I tilt my head, eying her in puzzlement now. No stepping in to show her authority and take over the show? Instead she merely makes a comment about us finding entertainment. My lips twitch. I'll take this as a sign of truce.
Now finally I turn my attention back on Mabbit after making sure Scarlet doesn't want to add anything else. "So Mabbit.....you feel full after that little snack? Is that all it takes to satisfy you?" I turn tight circles around him, letting my tail slither along his sides, my eyes finding Scarlet as I come back around, like i'm putting on a show for her pleasure now. "A spy AND an assassin? My, what a resume. Well Abendrot always welcomes both...but we'd rather you specialize in something. So what will it be? Listen or kill? What comes first, fangs or ears? Choose wisely, Mabbit. You may not get another chance." My eyes narrow, my voice lowered to a growling pitch as I continue to circle him like prey.
