Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

three • plague daughter • loner

She had called the woodland her home with her father and his mate since the brutal attack on her body. They had been her safe haven when her mother was absent – there wasn’t very much that she could possibly do anyway. She was tiny, too tiny to even protect Sanguine, and so she had sought the attentions of her father more so than any other. It had been a way of healing for the battered girl and yet it had also sheltered her from returning into the wild lands of Moladion to face her fears.

Instead, they controlled her very existence, keeping her locked away in the den that she shared. It was a place where night terrors struck her mentally and physically, causing her to kick and scream in her sleep until she awoke panting. The past season had been terrifyingly unbearable and if it weren’t for her father she would have already ended all of it. How easy it would be to sink to the bottom of the river that she had nearly drowned in already. But something had her hanging on for hope – perhaps it was her father’s endearing nature, or the kindness of Eris, or… something intangible even.

Today she ventures from the safeness of the forest and the den she has resided within. She is taking her first steps back into new life, no matter the risk. She has already lost much of her beauty, so what else was there but to die? She had very little to fear any longer and slowly she is beginning to realize this. That does not mean that she traipses so confidently among the crags, no, she sneaks about in a wary manner with eyes searching for any danger. If anything, the event has caused her to be more cautious of her surroundings and those that she encounters.

She scales the rocks with little effort, her slighter size making it easier than most, as the sound of babbling water lures her toward a small waterfall. The sun is hot upon her matte black fur and the sound of water is alluring enough to draw her from her original path upward. She veers off to the right as she catches a glimpse of the small stream just beyond some boulders, but it is the presence of another black being that causes her to halt in her motion and hackles immediately bristle upon her back. Eyes of darkened silver are intent upon the creature as she stares at him, her body gone rigid as all of her muscles tensed to their limit. He is much larger than her, even larger than the female that had ravaged her body, and so she is stricken with fear now as he resembles so much of the wild woman.

Her body is paralyzed although a low, nearly inaudible, growl rolls within her throat as she continues to stare directly at him. Perhaps he will not see her or hear of her or… smell her. Highly unlikely, but she can pray for her life.
