She was too confusing for Kellin to see through it all for what it was. He only saw what she was doing and saying, and he was not a fan of that kind of thing. She made him nervous, because wolves that acted that way were unpredictable and could attack without warning or trigger. Or maybe anything could be a trigger, one could never know. What if she had rabies? Kellin did not like the idea of finding out, but with Sabriel still trying to be helpful, Kellin felt he needed to stick by his older brother's side through til the end. He didn't have to like it, he merely wanted to make sure nothing happened without him being there to help. Sabriel probably couldn't really defend himself all that well, to be honest.

When she finally spoke of changing her mind, Kellin could not help but feel somewhat relieved on the whole matter. She was running from them, and with that, Kellin gave a nod of his head in her direction, then turned to raise a brow at Sabriel. There was nothing that needed to be said here, not really, except Kellin was being a little snarky due to the current circumstances and leaned in to speak to Sabriel. "One of our fathers was sorta a cannibal." He said in a hushed voice, his grin unable to be contained. He wasn't one of them, but Kellin liked a good joke when there was room for one, and he had found it funny that Sabriel had brought them up rather than the all too usual murderers without purpose.
