Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

He gives himself a moment to stare at how she sniffs the air for possibly a hint of what he was following, then glances away as not to be seen as rude. He kept to his manners when he could, because he supposed it would help him go further in life. Better than to be rude and disliked, because he could not achieve his goals if others disliked him. Riot was okay with others being indifferent to him for now, because he had done nothing outstanding thus far. But he had plans for himself, to be someone that made some kind of difference, to matter. Mostly, he wanted to matter to his pack, to Iromar. He had chosen the place for a reason, after all.

The female's words bring him back to the situation at hand, and he gives her a small smile. "It is important to a degree, but I do not mind the distraction. I'm not jumping to find the male to whom the scent belongs, task or not." He said in good natured tones, an ear flicking as she came closer to him, eyeing him, even. Riot isn't precisely sure how to react to this, so he simply watches her with contemplating eyes. It's not an unfriendly look, he was just trying to figure her out, see what her intentions might be. Then again, she had been polite back, and those who attacked others didn't sound like polite creatures.

Not that Riot would really know this, for he never went close enough to that kind of wolf in the past. He honestly kept his distance from most others in the years past, only recently integrating into pack life. Sometimes it might have been obvious to those of Iromar or others at all, but Riot still made the attempt and put his all into things. And would continue to do so. Except, maybe, in this part of his task. Now he honestly had no problem with most of it, but it was the particulars of this trail that had him uneasy. Still, that wasn't going to hold him back for long, since here he was, still tracking it, still looking for who it belonged to.

The name given has his attention placed back on the female -- Loup Garou -- and he dips his head to her. "I am Iscariot. Nice to meet you, Loup Garou." He responded evenly, calm as ever when she locked eyes with him. He does not feel the need to assert any dominance over her or anyone else, and he certainly did not have the rank to do so, either. That, for now, was something which was below him. He had observed others for so long, and displays were done for a reason and in this Riot has none. He waits it out, and when she speaks again he gives a roll of his shoulders in a shrug. "You may if you wish, but I am searching out wolves know to attack others. It is my task, to find out everything I can about those who attack others. Names, what they look like, where they live, what they've done.. To know more is to take precautions, after all." He responded.
