His daughter was ignoring him, and usually Jabs wouldn't have minded, but it was just him and her here in the Ridge. If he didn't have her to talk to everyday then where did that leave him? He could go to the crossing island perhaps, or visit a neighbor; both good ideas. Jabberwocky shakes his head, his damp long locks of hair flopping against his dark skin. He couldn't leave Soda by herself, he thinks to himself before sighing loudly.

Picking his head up he looks at her faraway shape at the edges of the ridge that overlooked the lower parts of the land. She had been there since night when it had begun to lightly drizzle with rain, which is why Jabs is just standing around being all sad and wet. These sort of things,sharing feelings, was not his thing. He wished Cream was here. His love always knew what to say. Lost in thought and busy staring at his daughter Jabberwocky didn't hear the approach of the other male until it was too late and words began to fill the quiet since the rain momentarily stopped.

Jabs turns his head toward the other dark horse, ears curiously tilted towards him as he listened to the male speak. He hadn't really thought of a second but the thought did rise some interest in the draft as he thought of all the good things that came from having a second. He glances out of the corner of his eye at Soda before bringing his gaze back to the stallion with a pleased smile on his face. He liked this guy.

"Hadn't really gave much thought to a second, but now that I think about it I do need one," his smile widens as he leans forward, amusement flickering in those dark eyes of his. "I like you, so polite, and I'm sure I'll discover more favorable qualities as you lead with me." Did all of that really come from Jabberwocky? The draft gives a satisfied flick of his tail with the knowledge that he had managed to actually say something good.

Suddenly remembering Soda he gestures with his head in her direction, "that's my daughter over there, Soda. My firstborn daughter really out of all my girls. She is the only one who lives here with me, besides you as of now, so you should take some time later to meet her." Jabs dosent mention the current state his daughter is in, deciding to just let fate do whatever it wanted should Soda meet this stranger.

"Oh wait a minute, you know my name but I don't know yours stranger, " Jabs grins, his expression welcoming and warm to his potential new friend.
