At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Elijah

Elijah... Elijah... No... STOP... NO........

Nightmarish ghouls drove the nobleman from their shadowy shores with pitch forks and fire; and the screams of whelps, bitches and bastards alike rang in his ears until the last second of darkness- until finally morning awoke him with a tender and warming kiss. Eyes, accompanied by a sudden, mangled and shock filled gasp, burst open with a surprise that was not truly unexpected anymore. More and more of his nights were filled with hellish dreams that coiled him in cold sweats and uncontrollable panting; dreams that were not so much imagined but dragged from the deepest memories. And he had his darling mother to thank for his current troubles. It seemed that his family had always caused the reserved wolf more trouble than good and though he loved them with all the heart he could muster, it appeared to the wise king that it was time to remove himself from their persistent quarrelling and give up on whatever chances he may of had to bring them back together.

Light rays of sun trickled through the holes in the traveller’s makeshift accommodation, caressing the dark cloak that rested heavily on his skeleton. As it trailed along his frame it highlighted the odd splashes of grey that patterned his form. The dazzling summer sun even brought out the colouration in his eyes turning them from dark amber to a lighter shade of orange- even if they were dulled with exhaustion. Elijah had lay still then, composing himself enough to encroach on the world outside; wherever his travelling had brought him; before he stretched out the stiff knots that had formed in is muscles and left the den, if you could call it that. The last of his demons had been safely locked away, chains bolted tightly across the metaphorical door that sealed away the horrors he had performed. There was no point entering this new and potential home to simply destroy it. After all, his coat was clean and so he had done nothing wrong.

This new world was fresh and crisp and clean, as he discovered upon exiting his place of rest. It was almost as if he had been plucked from the darkness of his lair and placed in a complete new universe; where birds sang and the sun wrapped its warming fingers around the inhabitants. It was all so picturesque- the blue skies filled with fluffy clouds, the way the small white horses lapped against the sandy shore. Slowly Elijah moved towards the refreshing water, the miniature waves beckoning him with their cool and crisp fingers.

He spotted the other wolf almost instantly but was faintly surprised to the crimson tones that laced the strangers form. There were not many wolves blessed with the colouration. Now inquisitive, Elijah remained quiet watching the stranger intently until finally he couldn’t resist the urge to find out more about the other wolf. A single brow was raised in an enquiring manner before rich and silky baritones, full of charm, grace and etiquette left his cavernous chest. ”Such a lovely day, ma’lady.” The kinsman pushed his pistons forwards as he walked towards the vixen with the air and grace of a gentleman. He stopped just short of the stranger; not knowing truly where his mind rested, before he spoke again. ”My name is Elijah. May I enquire as to your title?”
