It is true – being out in the wide open is an issue. It leaves you vulnerable. However, there was a benefit to being seen…your enemy wouldn’t be able to hide either. How comforting it is to know that you can pinpoint your enemy and actually be aware of their presence. Sometimes you have to look beyond what you see as bad in order to see their potential advantage. There were places within the flat fields that swelled with various high hills and some woodland areas that were exceptional for hiding. Some parts of the fields were tall stalks of grass perfect for using as camouflage. You see the fields were filled with potential advantages. Even for her small populated pack Tick Tock was assured that they too, were full of potential, all she had to do was get them to see it and achieve it. Though right now she was wanting to have her one-on-one time with Tobias’ mate. She wanted to learn about her, observe her, and see what she was like. After all she had found a den large enough for her and Tobias, but also for Flare. If she was going to have Tobias at her side then Flare would have to be around as well.
As she approached the red and white female it wasn’t that hard to catch the scent that laid deep within her fur. Though there was only one scent she was curious about. The scent of her one and only daughter was thick, heavy, and Tick Tock wanted to know what her daughter was doing with this she-wolf. She would find out about it, one day, but right now she wanted to keep her focus on Tobias’ mate. It was interesting to see how she threw herself to the ground to cover the ground with her scent. Her half ear twitched forward in a curious manner. While Flare rolled herself back along her paws she would get close enough to the she-wolf, not bothering at all that she was invading her personal space. As she placed her muzzle near the others’ tracing it gently she was shocked to actually feel Flare press her side into her own. There was a small hiss coming from the obsidian she-wolf, not too pleased that Flare had managed to rub herself along her left side – Flares’ pressure awakened the superficial bite that Reaver had given her. Though she remained standing there allowing the female to mix her scent with her own. It was when she began to flop herself on the ground and spread her scent did Tick Tock make a tentative step towards her, unconcerned that she began to urinate.
Moving fluidly over towards the multi-colored wolf she would gently press her shoulder into the girl, her form moving slow as she purposely rubbed more of her scent on the she-wolf. As she snaked around to Flares’ other side she would stand in front of the wolf, now completely covered mostly with her scent. Cold sapphire eyes looked into those dark orange-and red orbs encased thickly with ebony. She would not blink for a moment as she raised her head, her black plume arching high over her back in a dominant manner. Tilting her head to the side she would beckon the girl to follow heading towards the border and once they got there she would stand on the marker that still held Jaidahs’ scent. Lifting her hind leg up she would urinate for a moment and turn around, kicking the dirt up with her paws to scatter her own scent. She would look at the girl expectantly, wanting the she-wolf to join her with this task. Pleased that Flare seemed to understand not only her place, but that she was willing to do her part.
