News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

i am the blood of the mountain
Cool stone pressed against my abdomen, my paws stretched forward and toes flexing wide as my claws seemingly gripped at the flat surface of the rock. A yawn parted my jaws wide as I inclined my head towards the heavens, the muscles of my neck stretching as even my tail seemed to extend out behind me. My hind legs were curled to my side, the splaying of my hind toes the only visible flexion in that region. Then, all at once, the tension went out of my bodice and my head lowered. I brought my forelegs in closer to my chest and my tail waved idly over the surface of my throne. Mahogany eyes gazed around the clearing, the warmth of the early autumn afternoon soaking into my pelt. I would often spend my spare time here, perched upon the wide rock that had once been the choice location in my younger days for sunbathing with my father. Now it served as a throne of sorts, a place where if a member of my pack needed to find me, they could. But none of the mountain pack or its guests sought an audience with me this day, so I was left to bask in the sunlight and enjoy the simplest of pleasures in life.

The call that lilted across the afternoon air did not so much disturb me as it simply caught my attention and saw my ears prick forward with interest. As the song drifted across the mountain, I angled my crown towards the skies once more. But this time, my maw parted softly, a howl pouring from my throat in answer. For a brief moment our voices intertwined in song - his request and my reply - until his voice faded and mine continued on. Upon its final note I rose to my paws and leapt down from my perch in one fluid motion. With ease my charcoal legs picked up a flowing jog, carrying me across the clearing and to a familiar shortcut that would bring me to the foothills of my realm.

Once I reached the lower altitudes of my homeland, I picked up a loping stride, moving at a steady pace that was unhurried as I made my way towards the wolf who had called upon me. As I neared his snowy form, peppered over with earthen tones, I receded to a jog and then a walk. My banner had naturally ascended to show my stance within these lands - though my scent too made this clear. Ashen ears and mahogany eyes were trained upon the other wolf as I came to stand before him, giving a slight nod of my head in greeting. My nostrils flared to take in a more primal source of introduction - his scent. And though there was nothing distinctly familiar about him I had the strangest, cloying sensation in the back of my mind that I somehow knew this wolf. I was not sure what it was about his scent that gave the illusion of familiarity, but I chose to push the thought aside - at least for the moment - and introduce myself. "Good day; I am Daenerys Mountainborn, of the blood of old Solevion, Queen of Spirane and Protector of the Realm." Others' negative reactions to my perhaps somewhat lengthy introduction did not deter me from continuing to proffer such information about myself. "What has brought you to the mountain's borders this day?" Mahogany eyes were regal and serene, but there was the slightest note of curiosity bubbling up from within that I did not see any reason to veil.
