Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

GuardianAzrael x Andromeda

She jumped in surprise at the sound of his voice, his lip twitching ever so slightly in response to her sudden motion before he allowed himself to be seen, that tall, towering frame placed easily atop a separate boulder as blackened lips pull into an easy grin in some effort to assure her he hardly meant her any harm. After all, despite his height and easy muscle, he was hardly a terrifying creature, far more inclined to roll in the sun then he was to go to war, even despite that which he had trained for so very long. He had known however, since his earliest days, what it was he had been born for, his purpose in this life- to protect, to defend, to guard not only his star-touched brother, but his family- his friends, whomever it was he desired to lead his protection too in the years to come and perhaps, with the world as it was now, his skills would be needed sooner rather then later. After all, was it not for his training that Hyrule had chosen him? He was undecided, still, truly, on how he felt in regards to the young boys plan and yet, for Achilles, his closest of friends there was truly little he would not do. He held little desire to change the world, to be remembered for centuries and have his name written in stars- such dreams were for those born to lead and to rule, his dreams are more simple perhaps, though important nonetheless. Surely he could return to Diveen soon, surely and all would be well in the world again. For now however he is amused by the girl before him, attempting something by way of conversation no matter how unpractised his words. He is, after all, a personable creature even if his experience with females is a sadly limited thing.

She giggles, laughs and for a moment the star-touched ebony boy in the long red socks is very near assured she was laughing at him, it has happened before, his drawl often attracting humour, whether well intention or spiteful and yet he is hardly given to mind either way. He cannot change the manner in which he speaks anymore then he can change the weather and he no longer finds himself concerned with those who would laugh at him. He is content in who and what he is and yet perhaps- so is the female before him, her laughter aimed at herself it would seem as his handsome head tilts sideways in curiosity, his own grin expanded at this realisation. It was a rare find indeed, to find one as himself, one so willing to view the world with the taint of humour it so surely deserved. The manner in which her chest puffed outward proudly- like a child given to capture it’s first mouse, saw a chuckle all his own hiss between his teeth though he makes no mention of such things. A tiny thing she was, so tiny. His assurance that females were hardly his usual listeners seemed to hardly phase the tiny female, his red tipped tail offering another wave in response. His life, after all, had been dedicated wholly to his training, something that more often then not had included males as opposed to females. He knew how to be one of the boys, to joke and laugh and rough house. Females were another matter entirely, delicate, pretty, clean things that seemed well beyond his reach. Even now he remains upon his own rock, for fear of somehow damaging the wolfess before him. After all, to his mind, a female, a mate, an imprint- was made to be protected and guarded and cherished and kept upon a pedestal to be admired and loved and adored. He was…old fashioned perhaps, in his thoughts upon females and yet he hardly sees them as anything less then his equal- if not more so. He has seen birth, he has seen the way his Father is with his Mother, his own understandings take from this and he is assured in this world perhaps that each has their part to play and it is surely his role to assure proper respect is paid to the fairer of the species. So much so perhaps, that he is given to find himself near nervous in her presence, her assurances quelling his fears perhaps- if only slightly.

“I dun reckon I can get any taller, I’m as tall as day come I think, but both me Ma and me Pa was pretty big and me brothers and sisters too- I gotta lot of dem.”

He pauses, almost reflectively, to consider his own statement in this- thoughts lingering upon his siblings before his attention return to the girl now and the paw she suddenly holds forward. It is…odd, different, seemingly splayed as he stares upon it- utterly oblivious it would seem, to his manner in this and that surely such staring is perhaps not the most polite of gestures before the blue and gold of his gaze returns to his own.

“You broke it?”

He has never seen such a thing before, not really, one of his cousins holding a slightly similar injury to her paw and yet he is grown among Angels, a family historically free of any true deformity and as such perhaps he can be forgiven his lack of understanding in this. She had broken it surely, the paw perhaps failing to have healed right as he awaits some sort of response, features frowning slightly at her assurance that this was why she had fallen.

“Aviias it dis then.”

He nods, seeking to place her name within his memory as he repeats it back within the smooth, baritone lyrics.

“I have a brudda in Taviora, Starfall and me cousin Solaris too, are day both doing alright? Me Ma and me Pa is livin’ there now as well.”

He has not been to visit in some time, too long spent within Diveen perhaps, to much time spent with Achilles and the other warriors. He had neglected them more then he should, a moment of unease seeing him shift slightly before he sought to ask after them all the same. Starfall, in the least, he needed to see even if they had seen less and less of one another in the wake of the fallout with Azrael all those years earlier, Guardian truly unsure where he stood upon the matter. He understood both sides after all. Maybe he stood with Andromeda- on the sidelines and out of it. She speaks of Spirane then, his more current home, head simply shaking lightly.

“I like da mountain, I do but…it ain’t me home and I would never have left it if dat Covet had not told me I couldn’t stay in it. I met him once, before dis pack stuff. He came ta da borders and me an Achilles, das me cousin, asked him why he was ‘ere and what did he want and he start yellin’ all crazy lik, just yellin’ and yellin’ and den he just left. I dunno what he was bein’ so mad about, I dunno, I only asked ‘im why he was ‘ere and he tell me I was bein’ rude to ‘im. I tink maybe he just no understand what Imma sayin, me common tongue it aint dat good and I tink I upset him cause he aint understandin’ and den he got mad and be makin’ King Kane ‘ave a fight with him all cause he was mad at me- but it…….it aint me fault I dun think. I dun mean to upset him.”

His words are wholly honest, his tale in this entirely true, this situation evidently given to confuse the young male, features frowned now all the same as he offers the story to Aviias, though why he so felt the need to justify it surely cannot be said. It is simply in his nature perhaps, to speak the truth to someone inclined to listen, he is not a harsh creature, his good nature surely so very clear and so very far removed from the creature Covet made him out to be. It is a painful thing to him, perhaps, to be made out as something he most assuredly is not. It is the mention of Shiloh that so seems to distract him from his thoughts once more, a grin finding its way back upon his lips.

“Shiloh? She’s ma cousin. Me Father, Azrael is da borther of Queen Isola, day both the children of Heyel- das me grandfather. De Angels are my family. I’m just black cause me ma is all black, but me Pa is all white like dem. Me Pa reckons Shiloh and Amoxtli gunna have puppies soon, Queen Isola was pretty happy ‘bout that. Me brother Zaphkiel, he’s in Taviora too, he just had some puppies, I ain’t been ta see ‘em yet though. Reckon I like bein’ an Uncle though, till I get me own.”
