News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

ramiel
miwday upon the journey of our life,

He had become... confused once more, though he barely understood the circumstances entirely. Something had happened to those he knew to be family and yet, the feelings had felt... disconnected at first, as if they could not reach him entirely. He knew he ought to have been sad and yet, such sadness was difficult to come by. Instead, he had merely fell into a cycle of misunderstanding and shyness. It didn't feel right to show his face to those that had come from Diveen. He wasn't even sure if they would have remembered him - or well he remembered them. And so, all the peach he had found in the discovery of Sorcha had seemingly been placed aside for the time being, or at least until things begun to make sense once more.

Though he did not know it, he might have easily have been mistaken for his father as he loitered in the upper perches of the mountains. He had found himself a comfortable position away from the others - an outcrop that watched out over the lower lands, shielded and cloaked in a shallow shadow. He remained silhouetted there for much of the day, his paws dangling haphazardly from such a height. He had gone, after all, to clear his mind, and as such, his eyes had been closed off to the world for several hours it seemed. Below, he could still hear the sounds of those in mourning, or the far away voices of other packs sharing in the event. Heyel. Heyel had passed away. His grandfather, right? Yet, he could not put a face to such a name. That part of him was missing and yet, had it ever been there?

Finally, though, he had taken it upon himself to at least wake up to the world. Slowly, his eyes had peeled open to the reveal the fall colours of the world; below him, the forests surrounding the mountain had shifted to gold, and the breeze that rustled his fur bit at his skin with a sudden chill. In the shade, he had suddenly become aware of how cold the stones were - with a sigh of defeat, he accepted that he'd soon be too uncomfortable there to ever put himself at ease. The sun lower down beckoned for him and, with all the enthusiasm of somebody far too tired to care, he had plodded down the stone towers until the light began to illuminate him. He had been somewhat careless, though, and he had not noticed the small child that had draped himself over a rock that had now become cloaked in Ramiel's own shadow.

It took him several moments before he caught the sound of breathing, and he turned suddenly towards the boy - wide eyed and perhaps a little too startled to appear all that well. Apparently, he had not taken the news of his grandfather's passing as well as he might have thought. It showed in his eyes, no longer as wildly curious and excited as they had been several weeks before when Sorcha had entered his life. Still, he gave a sheepish grin and stepped away, allowing the light to once more pass around him and bathe the pale boy.

"My apologies," he spoke finally with a small dip of his skull, offering the child all the pleasantries that he could afford. After all, it had been his mess up. He hadn't meant to disturb somebody else. "I did not mean to get in your way. My mind was simply elsewhere."

At that moment, it did not occur to him how absurd it might have been to talk to a child in such a way - with such a seriousness, though his offense seemed so negligible.

where the straight way was lost
