Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

i am the blood of the mountain
Circumstances had mandated that I remain within the confines of my home throughout the remainder of spring, unable to make my travels to Glorall as intended. But just as the excitement of newborns and the heightened sense of protectiveness had begun to ebb away, a cataclysmic event had taken place. Kane had been defeated in battle, and the subsequent ruler had exiled the wolves who had so long called the red dirt of the badlands pack their home. Outcasts they had not remained, however, for Isola and her family had found shelter within the mountains of Spirane. She had once offered such hospitality to my family in the aftermath of MoonGlow and Alcide's deaths, and I had opened my borders in kind to her and hers. The heavy influx of wolves had kept me excessively busy, keen to keep an eye on both the newcomers as well as those who had called the mountain home long before Kane and Isola had been stripped of the rights to their thrones. They would always be the King and Queen of the City of Angels - until one of their progeny rose to take their rightful place - and as much was evident by the number of wolves who had followed them to Spirane. As summer wore on things quieted once more, and I knew that I could put off my travels no longer. While I was not overly concerned about poor opinions being formed of me, I was a wolf of my word and I fully intended to keep it. More injured wolves upon my borders - not to mention the flare of dramatics when Covet had made his throne available for the taking - had delayed me again.

But no more. As the leaves changed from green to flares of yellow and orange, I made my way towards the southern shores of Glorall. It had been a long time since I had visited the borders that loomed ahead of me, the trees that dotted the horizon far different from those that blanketed the mountains. When last I had come here, it had been to strengthen myself in preparation for my campaign to retake the throne that was mine by birthright. I had sparred the young princess, Cersei, under Tesseract's tutelage and we had both learned about ourselves. Tesseract had assured me that when I took my place as Queen of Spirane, Glorall would be a long time friend to my pack. It was hard to believe that nearly a year had come and gone since his fall, the shift of power that had somehow seemed to send a ripple of change up the east coast of Moladion. At long last I was coming to meet Eden, the wolf who had dethroned my longtime friend and ally. A wolf who, if my scouts could be trusted (and they could), was now gone from Moladion entirely.

I approached the borders of Glorall quietly, unassuming as I sniffed at the markers of Eden's scent. I was slightly perplexed by the familiarity of it. It was not a particularly distinct memory, but I knew I had encountered this wolf before. The things that Haziel had told me about his then new alpha had caused a lot of speculation in the back of my mind. Was this a wolf that could be trusted? I could not help but wonder, though the number of Tesseract's former pack members who had remained gave me reason to think that perhaps he was. It was too bad he had not been able to keep Viora around - I was still rather unsure about her uncouth nature and whether I could ever hope she would be an addition to the pack that would not create more problems than she solved. Haziel's honest words about Eden still hung in the back of my mind, but now I was here to learn of him first hand.

After some time moving along the borders, sniffing at scents that were equal parts familiar and foreign, I came to a stop along the southern reaches of the border. There were no trees here, only the soft soil that would give way to sand a short distance further within the pack lands. A single charcoal ear flicked to the right, listening to the dull sound of the waves crashing against the southern coast of Moladion. Though I could hear it, even if I looked I could not see the ocean from here. My tail arched high, drifting slowly back and forth in my relaxation. Tipping my dial towards the blue sky, my maw parted softly and a strong, vibrant howl resonated from my throat. It called out to Eden, summoning him to his borders for a meeting that was perhaps overdue and under different circumstances than originally planned, but I was here nevertheless. As the call faded from the sky my nose tipped down, level once more as I stood, mahogany eyes glancing slowly about to take in the scenery while I waited.

ooc; i know originally this was meant to be dany/jer/eden/haziel, but thought maybe since its been delayed for so long we could keep it just the two of us.
