IF THIS IS TO END IN FIRE

With a final glance of her shoulder, she steps her hoof into the surging surf. She had found her daughter, Dixon had also returned ot the Islands. She sighs contently, her crystal blue eyes flick to the islands. She easily locates Atlantis, this was her destination. As the tepid waters surround her, she kicks out away from the sandy shores. She lifts her head above the waters, her nostrils snort with each breath as she tries to keep the salty water from going down her nostrils. She kicks and swims away from the crossing to her new beginning.

------

Exhausted, she pulls her pearly body from the waters. She drops her head between her knees as she attempts to gather her breath. Her dark locks fall in wet ringlets, she breathes heavily. The air was muggy and humid. She raises her delicately chiseled face to look upon her new home. She sucks in her breath, it looked a lot like her homeland. The jungle meets the sands, some of the palm trees hang lazily over almost touching the ocean's surf. She takes a weak step forward, her crystal eyes hungrily await Dixon's ebony form to emerge.

She shakes out the water from her hide, and seeks out shelter along the beach. She sighs as she takes a step into the shade. Her crystal eyes dart up and down the beach, waiting. Her anxiety ticks at her heart, had she swam to the wrong island? Where was Dixon? She dares not to think the thought that nags at her. Had he abandoned her? She shakes out her tresses, a bit of anger smolders. When did she become such a needy, whiney girl? She stomps her hoof in annoyance.
