News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

"Your name shall be carved into legend once my Sword has carved into your chest." ~Song Of Achilles

I don't know yet who will come back to Diveen. I know I wasn't the most social of creatures though I did try to gather my family before and it went up in flames because only two wolves showed. I've tried to reach out but apparently my family isn't very social either. They've scattered to all ends of the globe and who knows if a change in power will be enough to bring them back home? It won't be the end of the world, certainly, but it would help show that blood runs deeper than water and all the hate that Covet is trying to cultivate for our bloodlines is just in bad taste. Family is not just blood either. I call most of the wolves I grew up with my brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles. Maybe they weren't even born in Moladian but that doesn't matter. They pulled together to keep this pack safe and stayed loyal. That's what I call a family.

But not everyone can understand that, apparently. Covet seems to think that we look at a wolf and decide if they're worthy of our attention. Did Heyel think that way when he reached out and helped so many loners? They had nothing to do with his pack or his family and yet he reached out to them nonetheless and showed them the way. No one knows him for his generous nature, only for his time on the throne or his assassin days. But I will always remember him as the king everyone should strive to be. I can only hope he's watching over me as I move into the pack lands I can now call my own. I pray for his assistance to bring together the remains of a broken family torn apart by a hatred born out of misunderstandings and the loss of a great father, grandfather, mentor, king, and so much more. Heyel will always be remembered and I'll make damn sure of that.

Kane and Isola decided together that the throne of Diveen was no longer where they wanted to be. Sure, they were taken away from it by force, not by choice as I'm sure they would have wanted, but it showed them that they were no longer as fit for the throne as they once were. And so it was decided that I would be the one to take my rightful place and bring this pack back to life. I know that my mother and father will be hot on my heels to return to their home but there's no rush. I plan on sticking around for a long time. I know Covet will be coming for me and I'm counting on it. I lick my lips at the mere thought of sinking my fangs into his worthless flesh. He comes charging in Moladian like he's meant to be someting and thinks he can prove a point by dismantling my father? He only fueled the flames of revenge that I plan on ripping personally from his demented skin. He will know the true wrath of angels when I get done with him.

But first, it's time to put on my alpha hat and become the wolf Heyel always wanted me to be. He knew I would be prepared for this day when it came and I don't plan on failing him now. Even as I'm marking the borders, relishing it maybe a little too much when I can no longer smell the remains of that beetle, Covet, or my cousin, Ambrosia. I do not hate my cousin for what she did. I just don't understand how she could lay down her pride and that of a fearless bloodline, pawning it off like an old jacket to spawn offspring with someone she doesn't even know all for the sake of owning a pack. That's not what being an alpha is all about. Maybe I know nothing about it just yet and I'm sure I'll learn in time but I'm pretty sure a true alpha doesn't hand over their V card just to trade it for a tiara. I have a little more dignity than that. She will always be welcome here if she still decides Diveen is the place she wants to be but I know I will never look at her the same way and I do plan on having some one on one time with my dear cousin. I have to know what went on, how he talked her into such an atrocity. I have to know that she didn't just willingly agree to that, thinking in some twisted way that Heyel would be proud.

The first scent of a new comer reaches my nostrils but not that of a stranger. Rather, a family member, a sibling, even. My lips tug into a smirk as I trot toward the perfume, tri colored eyes squinting a little to make out the slender silhouette that comes into view. Her dark fur throws me off at first but then I see the red mark on her chest. I take another whiff and indeed sense that she's not of another pack, at least not from Moladian. She came from outside the world we've always known, a sibling that's traveled. My interest only rising, I pick up the pace to go toward her, ears pricked forward to catch the low growl emanating from her throat. She has come to the center of Diveen, using a rock as her own personal perch to see the lands. She looks disappointed with what she sees but then the great exodus from Diveen has yet to fully turn around and come back home. I'm sure Diveen will be brimming with life once again soon enough.

She throws her head back and calls out, my ears flicking back at the loud noise since I'm not far away now. Of course I knew that I wouldn't be the only wolf on Diveen soil since there are some who never truly left. I have nothing against the pack wolves who chose to stay here. I'm sure they had their own reasons and I won't even ask for them. They are welcome to their own reasons and I don't doubt their loyalty. Hyrule is one of those wolves and since our time in the Grotto, I can only think of him as some eerie emissary of Heyel himself. Even in looks, he is his clone and those haunting violet eyes just dare you to prove yourself, just as my late grandfather's did. He is not destined to be the king of Diveen any time soon if ever that were his wish but at least I know he has leadership qualities to call wolves together for a bigger plan than ourselves. He had some great ideas and I can even admit that, though I'm sure I would have thought of them myself at some point. It would have sounded better coming from me as well but I still don't doubt his abilities and I feel he'll be a great asset to me and the pack.

Even now I watch his form reaching her before I can so I slow my pace, satisfied that she will at least have some company until I get there. I'm sure he's been waiting to see the Angels returning home. I can just make out his words from here, asking her questions and then prouncing the best view in the pack lands from which to watch the pack lands come to life once more. I move up beside him smoothly, letting myself stand a little straighter as I look into the two different colored eyes of my sister. One of gold, one of violet, can only be the sister of the infamous traitor himself, Solaris. I believe her name was very close to his but it's not coming to me right now. I wonder what she would think if she knew of her own litter mate's ultimate betrayal. I brush the thoughts away, not wanting to be shivering in rage righ tin front of Hyrule. I'm sure he'd just question me about it in private and I'm not ready to give up that information just yet.

"Welcome home, sister. You have come in the middle of times of change. If you're looking for our parents, they'll be along shortly."
