Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

They mirror each other. It’s strange, the way that they do. Tall. Thin. Gorgeous. Light and fast and flexible, absolutely unable to do anything other than run. That happens. That happens when you’re… like they are. Family was a strange concept, but the pair was okay with that. They were really okay. That was a funny thing to think aloud, and just which cocaine chic sibling had the thought in their head wasn’t clear. It never was. The same sorts of thoughts in both of their heads, and things that couldn’t be reached for either of them… well, it would make sense. It should make sense. It never did. Maybe that was part of the fun.

Dimitri’s eyes glimmer, a little dangerous, as Sabriel speaks. “The bottom is the best place to be. From there, you can only go up.” The words play on his lips, and Dimitri is nearly stark and raving mad. He’s good at that. He’s good at hiding it until it suits him. The leggy creature is sleek where he stands, and his eyes are brilliant. There’s something about him that could have been magnetic, could have drawn in anyone he wanted. Also good at that. He stands beside his sister, her shadow in the light of fading days gone by. It’s lovely. It’s all he’s ever wanted. That, and total world domination.

Delya is the one that gives voice to his thoughts. It’s what they talk about late at night when no one else is there, when they have to keep each other warm or risk freezing to death. Too thin. Too tall. Too light. Too fast. That’s how they are, and that’s how they will always be as a pair. They will be all the other needs until such a time comes when they don’t need. Until they find something else. Until they find what needs to complete their own situations. Delya, once, thought she’d had that. Things were different. Things had changed, and Fallacy wasn’t here anymore. They’d be alone together. It would be fine.

”What’s the point of sitting and being like this. The words are harsh on her breath, though she doesn’t mean for them to be. There’s something so wild about her in these moments, maybe Delya doesn’t even recognize herself. It’s a fine line, a very fine line. “There are four of us--” She turns to Kellin, as he now stands among them. ”We could take over the world.” Maybe not the world at first, but something like it. It’s beautiful. It’s mad. She feels lovely.
