News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

i am the blood of the mountain
There was something to be said for Pan's approval of my plan in regards to our future relations with Diveen. His mind was incredibly sound, and while it was capable of a great many things his propensity for sorting out diplomatic affairs was invaluable. For this reason, I was pleased that he seemed to so whole heartedly agree with what I had proposed. Only time would tell of the fate of Diveen, but I was now prepared with a suitable plan. The issue of the relationship between Mountainborn and Angel, and how it should affect our connections with Diveen, was hardly the greatest of the diplomatic challenges I faced. Whereas a year ago I had held alliance or treaty with every pack in Moladion, I now only had firm connections with two packs. I was wary of Asteraia to be sure, for the rumors about their newest alphas had spread quickly across the lands. So it was to Glorall which our conversation next turned, and Pan seemed more than happy to oblige my curiosities about the leader who had reigned now for a full year without disruption or challenge.

Pan spoke of his hypothesis about Eden's lineage. In some way, shape, or form he suspected the Eden was related to the Angels, or rather was an Angel himself. The information with which my advisor provided me seemed to be strong evidence for such a case to be made. But when Pan offered to gain proof of such things I gave a casual shake of my head. "I do not think that will be necessary, Pan. If you come by the information through other pursuits, do let me know. But I have no need for you to go out in search of such information just to have it." There were more important things, surely, that Pan could devote his time to. Eden's lineage did not feel as if it should be of the utmost importance to me, though I could not deny that my curiosity had been piqued. A wolf's bloodline was not everything, after all; Aithne was not of old Moladion blood and she was proving to be a capable leader in her stead.

He went on then to inform me that Glorall held no ties with the other packs of Moladion. It seemed, really, that Eden was more than comfortable to stand alone as a pack. There was something to be said about this choice, for it seemed quite deliberate. I wondered, then, how many of the other packs Eden had sent Haziel or other diplomatic forays out to. Pan's perceptions of Eden interested me, for when put in company with the personal opinions Haziel had provided me with, I could not help but wonder if there was much more to this Eden fellow than met the eyes. And I nodded in agreement with what he said of our own pack - Spirane was the largest and most powerful pack in Moladion. If Eden was as cunning an individual as Pan suspected, I would need to be wary in our meeting that I was not taken advantage of. "I believe that, perhaps, a treaty would be the best way to begin to rebuild the foundation between Spirane and Glorall now that I do not have an old friend in the alpha. It was how our relationship began with Iromar, and that developed into a mutually beneficial alliance after time was allowed for trust to build." A treaty of equally advantageous terms could reveal much about Eden over the course of time. If he respected the conditions and did not seek more than what was agreed upon over a certain amount of time, then perhaps a true alliance could be established further down the path.

The final topic which needed to be addressed was that of Asteraia. By now it was well known throughout Moladion that Tobias, a wolf renowned for his cannibalistic and aberrantly violent tendencies, had come into a position of power beside the marred black shewolf whom was his partner in some way. To align oneself with these wolves could spell disaster - who had they harmed in the past? If any of the packs with which I already had strong, solidified bonds had been victim to his deviant behavior, could I risk insulting them by making ties with Tobias and his partner? This was, perhaps, where I required Pan's advice most greatly. "Since the fall of Rhae and Iblis, darkness has fallen across the plains. Jaidah's removal did not bring light back into the grassy expanse; if anything is had only grown darker. Tobias is a wolf that cannot be trusted; but what do you know of his nameless counterpart?"
