The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Kobato was upset. Her day had turned out to be something she wished had never happened. The smile that ghosted its way onto Marx’s lips still lingered in her thoughts now, chasing away any hope of thinking of him in the same way. Which was not fair. Not fair at all. But because she could not find an explanation for the display of emotion at something that was suffering on it’s way to death, it was still something she was not too sure about. The beautiful fae was kicking herself now for leaving Vladya in the first place. Though fate deemed it necessary to take her back here… perhaps in the arms of the person she was destined to help. Toffee stargazers went up to the east, watching as a shadow moved from place to place, tracing her movements. The brujo had not left her side once, though he had not shown interest in her making it out of the bog earlier. Kobato could only feel intensely and overwhelmingly alone. Perhaps the most alone she had ever felt since she had been pressured by Ioryogi to leave the battlefield and escape into a world of light. Yet here she was, being chained to a wall by this world of light. Serris had disowned her. Her knights had been disbanded. She’d been taken from the only thing on earth she loved more than taking care of others. And now she was a prisoner. At least she was not being mistreated. Or starved. A flicker of what Vladya used to look like rushed her unconscious brain and she shook her brow, focusing on cleaning off the mud from her body as well as the stag’s blood from her chest and face.

When she was finished, she shook herself off, clean once more, and took off. Just because her spirits were down, it did not mean that she could not meet others. She WANTED to meet others. Wanted to spread that happiness she’d been carrying around since she was merely a child. The bath seemed to have helped raise her spirits. Though not enough to put a full smile back on her face. Toffee stargazers searched and searched for others as she made her way along. Kobato was ready to approach anyone. Or have anyone approach her. Be they friendly or not.
