Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He was curled in his den, feeling like nothing more than a ball of raw nerves and emotion. There were so many going through him right now; anger and sorrow and loss, resentment and some little vibe for vengenance that was oddly out of character for him to feel. Then again, he had been touched with such feelings before, the urges to go above and beyond to be able to live in the pack of his birth. And now it was his home, but this time all those feelings were stronger to him. There had been no sure threat to his living situation before, only the feeling that should he not be allowed in that he would fight simply to be allowed to stay within Glorall. Now, well, things were very different for him. This sense of loss was done, what he had been looking forward to, excited for.. it had been taken from him and he did not know quite how to deal with it. Solitaire wanted to lash out because of it, wanted to make someone pay for his pain. It all came down to if he would actually do it or not. He knows that if he did, it would change him and there would be no going back. Was it worth it, the price he would pay? Solitaire had to ensure he made the right choice here.. that if he did something, it didn't flop.

Of course there was some other feeling that was nudging it's way through all the rest; some sense of concern that was getting stronger to feel as the seconds ticked by. It still wasn't enough to make him want to move, and thus he did not budge, no matter what strange feelings were pushing their way through. Solitaire was letting all the rest start to swallow him whole. He was so caught up in it all that he didn't notice the scent wafing by, and it wasn't until he heard his name spoken by someone else that he realized he wasn't quite alone. He blinked, was just about to snap out at her until it settled within his mind that it was Striker. A long sigh was the sound that left his throat, and he frowned at her. "Yes, I guess the day is difficult for me. Is that why you are here?" He looked momentarily confused at the concept of that. It wasn't as if he understood much at all when it came to her, and she had been absent for quite a long time from his presence. Why did she all of a sudden appear here to him? Solitaire wasn't sure if that made much sense to him, and he wasn't in the mood to try and comprehend it further in the turmoil that was his own mind.
