Freedom from this place would soon be had, and she could get back to the woodland and run her sides along the trees. The growth of thicker fur for the oncoming Winter was an itchy process for her, but not a new thing. Raptor had found it easier to manage if she could rub along the rough tree bark rather than the ground. Less cleaning to do when it was trees, after all.
Raptor couldn't wait to get away from the grotto, and with her mother leading the way, so was so close to her escape! Or at least she was until the random emotion splashed through her, and in her confusion she paused. It was enough that she was assulted by someone else's face and odd noises that she couldn't comprehend, but it sounded threatening to her. She pulled her lips back to expose her teeth to him, snarling a warning for him to back off before he got a face full of teeth. Her ears folded down, shoulders pushing forward to help scrunch her neck, hind legs bending slightly.
The slits of her pupil thinned as she stared him down, knowing that her mother would have realized by now what was going on, and would be right there to defend her. They were a team, a hunting pair, and Lex was never too far off from her. Right now, Lex had been leading her out of the grotto and was probably getting defensive and possibly aggressive over the entire matter. Raptor was wondering if this male was going to back down or start a fight, but it wasn't going to be a good one for him, not with Lex on her side, and unwilling to let her be taken away by some random male who had yet to reach maturity.
