Just because he was young did not mean that Cadwan was not preparing for his adult life. It had not taken long in his short life to decide that he wanted to do what Sleekwing did, protect. So he had asked the heather painted warrior to train him, his small puppy body quickly losing the unsteady gait of his over-large paws. He would grow into them, he had been told, but it did nothing to curb his frustration when he tripped over them or when he was certain he got some maneuver correct only to find himself overstepping or toppling to the side. Playfulness was hardly in his nature, although he tended to try just for his sister. She didn't have anyone to really play with so when they started rough housing Cadwan would attempt to try anything Sleekwing had taught him while keeping it fun and playful. She was the faster of the two and he was much more bulky than she was, his thick fur giving him the appearance of a bear almost. At least that is what he was told because his mother often told him that he had the heart of a polar bear - a white bear that was huge! It always made his heart soar to hear this.

He had gotten up well before dawn this morning to meet Sleekwing and train some. He was assured that as he got older and bigger things would be more intense and training even more difficult and Cadwan looked forward to it. He had the heart of a warrior in a child's body with very little youth left over. Then the Castallean had decided to go out to hunt Cadwan had nodded in his quiet, resolute manner, and took to wandering the borders of Spirane as if he could stop an intruder. He sniffed and tried to pick up game trails like he had been taught, pausing once at the scent of blood from a wounded deer. At least he thought it was a deer.

That is, until the cry of Daenery's lifted the air and he stiffened, wondering how she had gotten past him without him knowing. Only then did he realize that the blood was NOT from a deer and that her scent markers had confused him cause they were everywhere so eh hadn't expected it to be her. With a dissatisfied huff at himself he trots towards where her call originated from, trying to follow her blood trail in an effort to hone himself better and losing it a couple of times. By the time he arrives on the scene there are a ton of wolves, mother included, and he bypasses them all and heads straight for Ailith. He is... not the most conversive of his family and doesn't really know what to say to the Queen so he avoids her, settling his form next to his mother with a grunt. "She got past me," he grumbles, ears back and a sulky expression on his face.
