Vega has impressed me with her constant need to be busy here lately. She's been going out on errands more recently, finding important plants and such. I guess she's learning how to heal like my mother. Diveen could use all the healers it can get, especially with birthing season coming up. I hope more pack wolves choose a specialty soon because I feel like we have a lot of pack wolves living here but not a lot of skills being taken care of. Not that I don't enjoy just having them back in their home pack but I do like to keep myself busy so everyone else should be doing the same, right? I listen attentively every time Vega wants to sit down and talk about her achievements for the day. She tells me about certain roots and plants she has found while I groom and pluck at her fur, keeping it as immaculate as possible. She's queen now so it pays to look your best.

When I catch a whiff of her while running to meet Maddox, I turn my head, taking in the condition of her coat. It needs some tending to so I put that on my to do list, my eyes twinkling at her in that knowing way to let her know there will be some grooming time set aside some time after this talk. As she reaches my side, I move over just a bit to have my fur mesh with hers, just enough to brush skin against skin so I feel that familiar shiver of pleasure to touch my chosen mate for life. Imprints, schimprints. I've got the connection I want and she's the only one I'll ever want. As her nose reaches over to touch mine, I smile warmly and lick her nose teasingly as we both turn to look at Maddox as we approach. I feel a warm feeling in my chest when she touches her muzzle to his much as my own mother used to do. I know she idolizes her and there's not a better candidate in my opinion.

"As it is good to have you home." I respond smoothly back to Maddox. I nod in response as he tells me of his good news. Taviora and Spirane are both old friends of Diveen and I had hoped to keep it that way. Coza once was a member of Diveen so he was an automatic ally when he took over Taviora. Handing it down to his son shouldn't be much different than Diveen being in my own paws now so I should think Amoxtli and I should come to an understanding rather well, both being the eldest children of our parents. He has done well for Taviora and even answered his first challenge for his pack. I cheer him on silently. Spirane took in my entire family and much of our pack during Covet's poor excuse for a reign so I was sure Daenerys would stand by us as well. I am sad that I did not take the time to talk to her while staying there, a mistake on my part, but maybe now I can make up for it by making private meetings with both packs as soon as possible. I glance over at Vega, wondering if she would be interested in coming with. "As I had hoped. Thank you, Maddox. I will make appointments to meet with both packs shortly then."

As he jumps to Asteraia and Iromar, I listen carefully, knowing the bad blood that once stood between Diveen and Iromar. The whole Angels and Demon thing was rather dull in my opinion but I had wanted to go with my parents when the war started up if only to defend my home and my family. I'm glad when Aithne took over that she dropped the whole Demons thing like a bad habit and I applaud the change she has wrought over the swamp pack. I nod my head. "I shall make a point to meet with Aithne as soon as I can, then. Thank you." I agree with his idea for bringing the alpha of Asteraia here. I know well of her choice of co-leader and I remember thoroughly how Heyel thinks of him. Tobias has come here, attacking Angels and I cannot allow that but if I can come to a peaceable agreement with the alpha then maybe she can assure me that my pack will be safe from him and any other ill intentioned wolves in her pack. As long as she can take responsibility for their actions when it comes to those under my protection, I believe that should be possible. I nod.

"If you do not mind, I would ask that since you are already known to her that you could make the appointment for her to come here then. I know I have already asked a lot of you, Maddox, and I appreciate everything you do. I do agree that it would probably be safest to meet here rather than in her pack lands among wolves unknown to me." My ears flick back when I hear the news of Eden and Glorall. Much like Covet himself, Eden seems to be easily offended. I remember well when Guardian and I went to meet him before that he confronted me for not talking since it was Guardian's task and I was only there as back up. He seemed offended that I didn't speak, like I was doing it to purposely insult his position, which of course was never my intention. I contemplate for only a moment, my jaw tightening the only sign that I forsee possible complications in the future, before I let out my breath and nod.

"You are right. I'll go to him so as not to inconvenience him the journey and I'll make sure he's the first I go to." I listen to his ending words, smiling in agreement as I glance at Vega. "I agree that there is definitely potential. Only the future will tell. I thank you for everything you have done to make this huge step for Diveen's future, Maddox. You have made major progress toward your intended rank and I promise you will be rewarded. I only ask that you allow me time to meet with the alphas and get started on term agreements before I do any rank adjustments. I do not doubt that you left a good impression. I may need your advice once again and I want everyone to know the major tasks you have taken on to attain your rank so that it cannot be doubted you earned it. Is this fair to you?" I prick my ears, giving him my full attention. I want his genuine opinion after all. If he thinks he has done enough to gain his desired rank then maybe there's something we can agree on. I let my eyes slide to Vega as well, making sure I have her support in this because I do not want any walls between us. I want us to be as united as my own parents were on the throne. Never once did I see my father doubt my mother or vice versa.
