Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

He would have taken her to the valley, but the black wolf wasn't stupid, and he figured that their memories of the crater were overshadowed by what had recently transpired there. Orion glanced at his mate, his soul, who had become so despondent after the death of her father- he couldn't blame her or fix the sadness, because he knew that he filled a different spot in her heart. They were certainly family, but in a different way. Replacing Nevaeh's father he could not do, nor would he want that. Heyel had been... well there wasn't really a word to describe him, now was there? Legendary seemed to fit fairly well.

Orion's yellow eyes settled upon Nevaeh as she walked beside him beneath the trees, their paws crunching lightly on the slight dusting of snow. Winter meant a lot of things in Moladion, and once it had meant something to them, too- the brute could clearly remember the day that Nevaeh had asked him to start a family. That day seemed like just yesterday, but it was seasons and seasons ago. How strange the passage of time was- to think that one day he and Nevaeh would be as old as her father had been, perhaps with more children running around on the mountain, perhaps not. But she was the one that he wanted to grow old with, nobody else. Orion was always a pushover when it came to his family- he would do whatever his dark love asked of him.

He reached down and nudged her shoulder, gently huffing through his nose. It had been a struggle getting her out of the den, but he hoped that she was slowly getting better. He had lost family, too- Orion knew the feeling well. Nevaeh was the last wolf who would ask for pity, but it was hard to avoid feeling sorrow when sobs wracked her body- and he could do nothing but sit there and comfort her as much as he possibly could.

"Winter again." Orion rumbled, glancing at Nevaeh out of the corner of his eye. It was like walking on glass around her, he never knew if what he said would make it better or worse. Should he sympathize, let her grieve or try to comfort her? Did she even want him around? "At least ours aren't old enough for the bush lecture, yet." He said with a small smirk tugging at his maw. For a moment he walked closer to her, their fur brushing together. What else could he do except for stand by her side, as he always had done?
