Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

He knew she was always an imposing figure. The angel bloodline often provided strong, proud individuals even if they outwardly didn’t appear so as Solara did. Isola despite her soft spoken ability was very powerful fighter and strong in will, then there was Heyel, who he only heard tales of but it just was natural to believe that Solara would come from him. Even the new Achilles seemed quite bold and strong but right now it was Solara he was trying to focus on and the girl, he knew for a fact, was a very imposing figure. She always had been, even the first day he had imprinted upon her she seemed to be powerful with a goal that was far beyond his own. Perhaps it was in his own blood, his true blood, which made him this way. He knew of the ‘dragon’ blood, the ‘white eyed’ individuals of his blood that obsessed with something, drove them to be dominant and powerful then eventually to their demise. Whether or not he would ever have children with these eyes or at all he wasn’t sure. And he had yet to see any of these of his true blood to begin with, but those without, like him, like… his father though he didn’t want to admit it, seemed content to be second place and help those that are more powerful to higher places.

That was beside the point though. Whether or not he was pleasing to her he wasn’t entirely sure he cared. After being left he assumed she could care less about him and what he looked or acted like. Snow was falling now, quicker than it had before and he glanced up at the skies knowing a storm was well on the way but ignoring it. It was nothing down here on the foothills of his home. They were just little bursts of winds that didn’t distract the fiery wolf he was a blaze that melted the very snow around him and pressed through it. It would be the same today.

As she spoke he let out a single laugh in amusement. ”One could wish but I know someone will get to him first. He made far too many angry for him to last long. In our dreams though we can pretend it was ourselves that brought about his short coming demise.” A prediction he couldn’t know to be more true, but there was sense behind it and a lot of it. Purge made many angry and was quickly driven from the lands after they could stand her ignorance for no longer the same would go for Covet. It seemed anyone who wronged the angels eventually vanished. He remembered the war and how Ishtar, the fool-demon queen vanished after she had lost. It was history that any who messed with the angels seemed to die or disappear no matter what.

That was just how it was and he wasn’t unhappy for it. He had been very young when the war had occurred. That had been before her time though, and he was but a yearling pup but he still remembered. Solara had been born into a family of victory perhaps that also was what made her blood burn and boil so. The first war Moladion had ever seen and it was short and one sided. The ones who instigated boiled down to nothing so quickly… Demons were a dying blood now. Though he knew of one to live in his pack she was a female mated to another female very strange and even the former Demon Lord had few children left to the world as well. Again showing those that try to fight the angels perish… even if it’s slowly.

It was funny then that she said this and all the brute did was give a nod in agreement. All those memories went in accordance to what she had said. Perhaps she didn’t know some of that herself. The memories of war were indeed blurry, but he knew of the worry his adoptive parents had for their angel allies. The gust of wind hardly bothered the mountain born wolf. His tail gave a flick watching as her mismatched gaze turned to the sky. His forest green orbs did as well, though they held no concern behind them as he turned his eyes back towards her. He noticed her distaste and a growl rumbling in her chest though he could only wonder if it was this weather that bothered her only to be confirmed when she said the storm would grow worse. ”Yes most likely.” He said agreeing with her though again he was slightly confused when she told him to return to the mountain.

”I would do fine in these conditions, it is those that live in the low lands that have an issue. Perhaps I should take you home.” He states though it is mostly innocent. Really Taliesin expected her to want to part ways, it was how the other encounters with his imprints ended after all, but he was going to see if this was different. ”Come then if it worries you so, I shall take you back to your home, Princess.” He says not turning back towards the mountains and heading away from the storm. ”If we jog we should keep out of the worst of the storm on the way home. You can do that, right?” He said almost challenging her as he pressed past his well-rounded form carrying him lightly by and towards Diveen. After all he wasn’t going to take no as an answer.
