Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Luk
(Two) (No Imprint) (No Mate) (No Home)

It was a nice day. No snow had fallen yet, though the bite of winter was still as sharp as ever. Luk found himself wandering from the beaches of Glorall towards the fields to see if he could catch himself something to eat. The prey in his new home was plentiful and rich, but the young wolf was still trying to get used to the taste of the fatty or tough meat. He had come to really like the taste of crab, but he discovered quickly that the little red monsters fight back and they pack a mean wallop. A claw pinch to the lip made sure that Luk knew that even the smallest animals can hurt a big wolf. A big he certainly was. His paws were still massive in comparison to the rest of his body as he still had a bit to grow. They made running a bit awkward at times but this phase of his life was nearing to an end. The son of Zeteri and Amutaq held true to his powerful lineage and as the grandson of Devil May Cry and Kiska he would, one day, be just as big as them.

It was nice to breathe air that wasn’t saturated in salt. He was still trying to get used to that too but it was all worth it if it meant being able to become Eden’s apprentice. One day, Luk was going to be an assassin, just like the wolves in the stories of old. He would have control over life and death and would walk beside the great reaper as a friend. The thought still thrilled him and he felt his tail wag in excitement. But then his stomach reminded him why he had left Glorall in the first place and he let his mind return to the present.

Two failed hunts later saw the young boy eating the remains of someone else’s hunt. Luk was not a skilled hunter by any means since most of his young life had been spent trying to keep his broken family together. He hadn’t practiced hunting as well as some of his siblings and so he was still wet behind the ears. Hopefully, that would change in time and with more practice he would get it down. Thankfully, the cold weather had kept the carcass he was currently eating from nice and fresh. When he had had his fill it was time to head back to Glorall and he started making his way when something caught his eye.

A wolf walked a little ways off from him, her scent telling him she was a lone female. There was something about her smell that triggered something deep within his mind but he couldn’t put a paw on what that might be. Suddenly curious, Luk trotted up to her. Making sure he was seen he approached her in a friendly manner with is tail wagging and his ears held up. He stopped a few feet away from her and smiled. ”Hello! I noticed you don’t have a pack scent and thought you might like to know that there is still half an elk over there a little ways. If you’re hungry I’m sure you can eat your fill there.” He had always been known as a little blunt and brash. It was going to take him a long time to learn the art of subtly but he meant well by his invitation. He waited for his aunt (who he had no idea she was) to accept or decline with that smile still on his face.
