Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

aspen.

With such an open space, Aspen was uncomfortable. It was a bad move. Being out where she was totally unprotected by the terrain, entirely exposed… who made choices like this? Did she have a death wish? The short answer was no. Maybe she even wanted someone to pick a fight with her. Aspen was out at dawn, looking for… for something. For anything. For anything that she could take hold of. Days had passed, and not a single soul had made contact. What a strange place this was, a place where everyone was so incredibly wrapped up in their own worlds that they wouldn’t notice a stranger having entered. Maybe she’d stroll right into a packland next and see if they saw her.

Part of Aspen was starting to wonder if she existed at all. Maybe she’d become a figment of her own imagination. The sooty blonde girl made her way across the ground with high steps and an easy stride. She’s powerful. She commands attention. Where was everyone? Snow had fallen fairly heavily the evening before, and she wished it would stop. Snow was dangerous. Aspen disliked snow for the simple fact that it made travel more difficult. She’d been such a drifter, never sleeping in the same den two nights in a row, never finding anyone to stay with. Sleeping alone in the cold was dangerous. There was a recklessness to her. She doesn’t care. Alone is dangerous, but alone is the way she works. Does that make Aspen dangerous?

Not inherently, but in a way that… well, a way that’s different. She likes that about herself. Confidence fills her up and makes her who she is. Bold. Aspen is bold as she makes her way across the field, seeming to sweep across it. Powerful. The snow was starting to fall again, and something takes her over. It brings her to an absolute run, racing herself through the drifts. The blonde girl has been taken from a stroll and important business to something much more fun in a matter of moments.

This is what happens when nobody's watching.
