Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

PARAVANA

She slumbers. Her dreams are not of summer days of Diveen. They are of shaded eyes and haunted faces. She may be weighed down by the sands of sleep, but it is not to remain as she feels the jarring feeling of Underidge rushing her away from her rest. Her rainbow eyes are but jewels in a world of shadow as they slowly open from their blackened veils. Right as she does so, she is greeted with the rough touch of his maw to hers, causing them to open wider as she becomes fully awake. It is time, he says.

She remembers when she would awaken and hope it was all but a terrible dream. She remembers attempting to rush on silent paws to escape back to Diveen. She day dreamed about her father bursting on the horizon and saving her from her terrible fate. But alas, it was never to be, and her mind soon faded of such dreams as the Shade began to take its hold and freeze her beating heart. She held no thoughts of escape now as she stretches out her long limbs in the den. The chains had been clamped against her feet, and she was follow in Underidge's wake.

It was time to cull. She did not feel the burning passion that Underidge seemed to feel about the subject, but she did not despise it quite yet either. Wolves kill the weak prey, do they not? It was the purpose of wolves, and perhaps they had forgotten their own ways. She had felt the cold shivers brought on by the Shade as times went on, and she wondered if she was simply...imagining it or not, or if Underidge was really just showing her what her inner feelings really meant. He leaves and den and she hears his growl as she lifts up and follows him out. He commands that she stay by his side, and she does not speak and only nods.

She was easily able to keep up as they run, her limbs long and graceful. She is a creature most refined and elegant, yet a bit thinned even for her already thin frame. The stress of the situation did not allow for her to put on any weight. Her eyes remain pressed forward on the path that Underidge gave to her. They crash through ice and water, a feeling most uncomfortable but she had grown used to feeling hunger, pain, and cold over time.

They soon stop close to a den and she feels the cool burn of her lungs from the physical exertion. Her tongue hangs from her mouth for a moment as she looks around, not recognizing the area. Her eyes flicker to the spot as Underidge speaks. Luring someone out should not be too hard. She felt her heart beating loudly instead of her, and she took a deep breath. She knew that the Shade would punish her if she did not do as he said. She was still a bit unsure how he knew what he knew, but...she felt like something inside of her, some little sensation was starting to tell her. She does not speak once again, preferring the silent nod as she holds a serious visage.

She steps forward, head lowering to inhale the scents in the area. She begins to hum, her voice smooth and light, like a beautiful song bird as she begins to lower herself at the mouth of the den and innocently wiggle her way in. She suddenly pauses, acting like she just realized someone might be in there. She back up her brown and golden form, ears pressing back a bit.

"H-Hello? Is someone there? I didn't mean...hello?" she asks sweetly, her rainbow eyes wide and sparkling as she gazes into the den. "It is too dark in there for me to see," she says as she tilts her golden-smudged forehead, blinking as she arcs to sit upon her haunches.
