Nakato
nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky |
Of course she had not meant to anger her leader. Nakato felt the aura change within the other female quiet suddenly and she shied away slightly as Tick Tock growled. The gray girl didn’t reply for a moment as she carefully thought about her reply. That smile returned again and she inched her way closer to the dark female. ”I do not see you as a monster so I guess it is hard for me to call you as such. I am a wolf of change and if you wish to be called such I will do so. But, may I ask one request of my… Monster? Please, if only sometimes, allow me to call you by a proper title. It is a title we gave to our alpha in my birth pack. Mistress.” It was a simple title, not so blunt as “Queen” or “Your Highness” but still just as elegant and regal. The blue eyed dame watched the reaction of her superior and hoped it the unofficial titled would be accepted. Of course, if not, she would change her way of thinking just like she always has. The conversation continued with Tick Tock asking about spirits. Nakato gazed up at the sky for a moment then returned her eyes to the scarred one. ”You have a powerful spirit. When you first approached me I was almost overwhelmed by it. The color is a deep, royal purple. It represents a strong will and independence. It also shows a softer side that is hidden well. A beautiful color that suits you perfectly, if I do say so myself. All wolves have an aura color that matches their spirit and it’s something I have been able to see since birth. It is why I was chosen to become a druid.” The pair walked further and further into Asteraia, the cold snow crunching beneath their paws. Nakato couldn’t help but wonder if they were aimlessly wandering or if Tick Tock was taking her somewhere. She knew that eventually she would need to seek out a den to call home, a large area where she could store all the herbs she collected. Chances were she would need them very soon. The Monster spoke, explaining what imprints were but this only made Nakato even more confused. They were not mates, but they could fall in love? Or they could be like a best friend or a guardian? It sounded like each experience was different and perhaps the only way to truly understand it was to have it happen to yourself. She tucked this knowledge away for future ponderings. Another question had come to her mind, one that she had been hesitant to ask until now. ”You are with child, aren’t you, Mistress?” It was a simple question but one that many mothers reacted differently too. Though she was not showing much, her scent gave her away. It was winter and the urges of the wolf could not be silenced. Even Nakato was giving off her own aroma that might call some males to her. ”To prove myself as a healer and gain a rank in your pack, may I offer my services to you when it comes time for you to give birth? Of course, this also extends to any other wolfess who will be having pups.” |
