Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

strange things have happened here,
no stranger would it be

Fjall begins to smile and it appears that my plan was working. She certainly would not act this way towards me. If she knew it was me, she would probably put her tail between her legs immediately. She always was weak of courage. I keep my face light though despite the mud clumps sticking to me. I don't mind being dirty, but there is something unsettling about drying mud on my fur. Regardless, I do what I have to do to get my rank. I am not one to sit idly by and flop around in the mountains. Others might be content doing nothing, but I am going to show them all up as a new member. Fjall just made the opportunity a bit more...quick to come by.

Fjall turns so I can see the scars upon her body. My blue eyes look upon them, and although my initial reaction would be simply to narrow my eyes or shrug, I open them wide and slightly gape my mouth open with a bit of a noise coming from them of surprise. My muddied ears direct towards Fjall's voice as she explains about wolves eating other wolves. I frown slightly. I suppose I should be glad that the killer of my mother did not eat her, at least as far as I am aware. I was about to speak when Fjall mentions that...she will make sure no one bothers us, and I cannot help but laugh. I catch myself and turn it into a playful giggle as my tail wags behind me.

"Oh that is horrible, but no one will bother us, I promise! I did not smell anyone in the area, don't be a worry wart!" I say in a giggly and light manner, my head tilting in a tempting and flirtatious manner- of the friendly kind of course. My eyes motion towards the shiny treasures, and although she is hesitant for a moment, Fjall does agree to come with me. I allow my tail to wag at a fast pace as I lightly turn to show her the shiny things in the mud.

"No, not by the sea," I say in reply. I do miss my ocean home, but despise the brothers who live within it. I should not think of them right now though, or give myself away with harsh looking face. As we travel not far to the spot I had chosen, Fjall begins to...talk, a lot, about stuff. Apparently she wants to show Ahorvi pearls. I go ahead and shake my head, letting her know I had not seen them...at least, Ahorvi has not. She speaks of Magnus which causes my eyes to shift towards her as we go forward, and she even mentions me before silencing herself abruptly.

"You can show me sometime, just as Magnus and Viora did, I promise," I say somewhat gently with a show of a smile on my darkened mud visage. I need to keep her here long enough to fool her. As she come upon the mud spot, I begin to dig at the spot that I had found. It is simply some rocks or something that had a iridescent sheen to it. I have no idea what it is, and I hardly care, but I figure it is enough to catch her attention. I giggle with a smile.

"See?" I say, before the girl goes off into asking why wolves are mean, how she is not good at anything, and her misplaced pride in being able to feed herself. Viora has to keep her damn mouth shut. Ahorvi needs to release her tongue and figure out to handle this in a friendly and gentle manner. I let my face stay light, only showing a tiny frown in response showing that I listened as I contemplate what to say.

"Some wolves are just...not good with others. Maybe they are hurting on the inside. You just need to show them your strength." I say softly as I look down at the odd looking rock. "If you are not good at anything, set your mind to purpose and focus on getting good at something then. Don't just be able to feed yourself, aim to feed more," I say, still light in voice but a bit more commanding. The Viora in me has a hard time staying silent, but I sugar coat and ensure I throw out a gleaming smile as I return my eyes to Fjall, wishing to try and...change the subject with my peppy ears and a yip.

"What do you think it us?" I ask with my tongue sticking out slightly, head tilting in curiosity as I wonder what Fjall will say.

to meet at midnight in the hanging tree.
